Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I want to talk about a movie that truly resonates with me - Inside Out. It's a film that perfectly captures the emotions we feel as kids and how they evolve as we grow up.
The main character, 11-year-old Riley, is relocating to a new state with her family. We get to see how her emotions - Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust - navigate through her life. As Riley adjusts to her new environment, we see Joy taking center stage. However, things start to shift as Sadness becomes more significant in her adventures.
Inside Out does an incredible job of portraying the emotions we experience as children, especially during our early years. The film depicts joy as our dominant emotion, and it's fascinating to see how that changes as we grow older.
Inside Out is a fantastic example of this. At first glance, it might seem like just another fun kids' movie, but Pixar really nails it by making it so relatable for adults too. You can bet that they spend just as much time trying to make their content for adults as engaging as possible as they do for kids. That's why you can enjoy a kids' movie with your little ones and still be totally captivated, entertained, and moved.
Pixar is set to release its latest film, "Inside Out 2", this summer, and they've introduced a new emotion we haven't seen before - anxiety. You might be wondering how this emotion differs from fear. Well, fear is triggered when you perceive a real threat, like when you see a bear lurking around your family's tent in the middle of nowhere.
On the other hand, anxiety is triggered when you perceive a threat that might not necessarily be real. In the film, anxiety appears as a bunch of uncontrolled, jittery nerves. Remember how Sadness almost ended up in charge of all the emotions? Well, Anxiety would be in control of Joy's actions and decisions throughout Riley's day.
