they should’ve had love the whole time. joy is literally her only positive emotion. it’s not just about romance, it’s love for family, friends, hobbies, etc
I dont think there are any strictly negative emotions because as you can see in the movie they all help you and you need them all. And joy can be negative as seen in the first movie, being forced and covering up other emotions, or as joy does in the first movie with sadness, not allow them to be felt when they are the needed emotion at the time.
See, I feel like that just is sadness. Really, I think anxiety also is just fear. I feel like they should’ve fleshed out the characters they have rather than throw in a bunch of new ones, and maybe throw in one or two instead of like 4 Edit: I feel like I should clarify; I know fear and anxiety aren’t *exactly* the same, and neither is pessimism and sadness, but they do have overlaps. I have anxiety, I know being anxious isn’t as simple as being scared of everything. Like how you can be happily anxious for something, doesn’t mean you’re scared for something good. My concern is more so that they’re going to clutter the movie with the 4 or 5 new extra characters, especially since they’ve already established that emotions can be mixed.
nah, thats just another version of sadness. You know what would have been more realistic though? *_EVIL!_* a scheming opportunist that wants to weasel its way in and out of things the easiest possible way!
It's a shame the other positive emotions were cut. In popular media whenever emotions are discussed there are so many negative ones yet the happy adjacent ones don't ever get the same recognition and are instead made into one thing like here
I feel like inside out could easily be made into a series of films like Toy Story. The 3rd could feature her going to college with more new emotions and others slowly fading away like anxiety and some emotions like this filtering themselves in. Then the fourth could be her around her mothers age with her parents dying and then the fifth could be about her being an old lady accepting that her time is coming soon and it could explore what happens to the emotions once she passes. Maybe something like the emotions joining Riley in a new realm and actual long getting to meet and live out eternity together.
I like how they depict various emotions doing this like also Joy and Disgust when excited showing that this kind of action can have different contexts (anxious, excited, overwhelmed, etc)
I would like to see two more "positive" emotions since other emotions like Fear and Anxiety could easily be merged and it wouldn't seem fair for Joy to be the only optimistic emotion
I think guilt and passion should have been in the group guilt would teach kids nor to lie and passion would be able to tell not to give up they are good mortals
Ich tink love/passion should have been included, it is reallyydifferent from joy as you do things that bring you personally no joy because you are passionate about something or love someone, and then seeing that person happy, or seeing you improvement etc is what makes you happy. Maybe in insideout 3 when riley gets her first real love interest?
I think it would be nice to see different emotions in different people because mine is anger, irritation, frustration, anxiety, but anxiety has twins, social anxiety and panic attacks.
I’m disappointed Love/Passion didn’t make the cut. We had one positive emotion in a cast of five; now we have one in a cast of nine. It could use some balance
Love should be a new emotion in the sequel. Also, in my opinion, Anxiety should have been Fear but obnoxious. Kinda like an evolved form of Fear. I mean, anxiety is really just fear that is out of control.
The German guy had a laugh and I saw this one short which theorized that he would come in because of the laugh during the trailer. That laugh was just ozzy Osborne.
I haven’t seen Inside Out 2 yet but something that always left me wondering is love? You would think love would be one of the first emotions to develop and grow right?
Obviously I don’t think these emotions existed in inside out but they only exist in inside out delete sence but there are new emotions coming in inside out 2 but Riley’s parents don’t have any extra emotions because I think these emotions only work in the background or maybe they didn’t exist yet
