I’m sorry to here this. I also live with IBD, however I live with a mix of chrones disease and ulcerative colitis and have been told that this could be something that I have to have done. Having IBD is not easy and your feelings about the surgery are valid. I have had colon cancer and I am only 16. I have gone through 2 major abdominal surgeries to avoid having life threatening complications but I am currently in the hospital because of having severe pain. I think my main message to anyone living with IBD is to never give up and that your pain and feeling are valid. Never give up and stay strong everyday!

You are not alone... I have bben battling a mental disorder for over 2 years now which made the nerves from my brain to my trigger for swallowing not work. I spent over 3 months in a hospital bed with doctors surrouding me and no one knew what was wrong until i had brain surgery to find out. Until then i was fed by a ng tube... I was fed liquid ensure and boost... It was sickening to me to have 5 booosts or ensures pumped into my stomach everyday... I remember one night my condition got so bad that i was close to death... My urine was almost black and when i fell asleep my heart rate was in the low thirtys.. I remember my mom crying because she was afraid for me to fall asleep and my heart stop... Later that night at around 3 in the morning i heard my mom wailing because the nurses put the crash cart outside my door just in case... 2 weeks later i survived my lows and i made it through the doctors found out what was wrong with me and could treat it.... After another brain surgery i had another low everyday i dealt with the most horrible migranes ever but i was finnaly brought real food.. I still had my tube in but i was allowed to eat! My first bite of food in 3 months was a bite of hospital Jello! It tasted amazing to me!! After another 3 weeks in the hospital i received intense therapy to help me gain strength in my swallowing muscles even more! I soon got to go home i had not seen my dog in 3 months or my little hamster i had obly seen pictures it was terrible being away from home for so long. Today i am now a health florida girl living a good life without a feeding tube and i can eat anything i want... So Rebecca u are not alone we stand together ❤!!!

Rebecca my name is Natalia I'm a 15 years old teenage girl and i know what u are going through im glad you got this sugary .i just lost my aunt to the worst battle of colon cancer she was 49 year's old and also lost my grandfather he was old (81) and he had some medical problems to...but my aunt had cancer 3 time she suffered for almost 4 years. ..i can tell u how it feels to be in the spot of getting your colon removed they had to take out half or all of hers i cant remember. ....but what i do remember its was 2 year's ago. ... a day before 1 of her many , many surgerys i stayed with her for 5 days in the hospital .....night and day........she was so sweet, so small and had so much love and life to give .....i see my aunt Darlene in you Rebecca she was a fighter ...she was strong ...im crying as im I'm writing to you Rebecca. ......anyways she (we) have a huge family that is loving, nutty, crazy ....we supported her so much. .....at the end of her life she had a real hard time becomes my grandfather's just had past away aka this year's V day ....and we had some family problems going on .also money was problem when she was alive...and after her death (aka funeral cost and sugary cost)....she believed that she was going to get better ,but a week before her death we all new she was not ....and knowing that it scared me..... that I was not going to see her anymore or see her smile or see her big blue eyes. ......that cancer stopped her doing a lot of things like ....going to the bathroom ,eating ,or even walking /talking ...it took her life from under her feet ....and i don't want anybody to have to experience that kind of pain ...she had cancer in her lungs ,stomach and many more places ...im so happy for you. .. i love that you did this for your health ...Rebecca i see life, happiness, joy in you ...... you are so strong stay that way .........stay positive and never GIVE UP .....i love you and your videos my prayers are to you and your family.... i might be only 15 and young but i known how hard this is for you and your family.....and i love to run to ...i could not do my running as often because...first i hurt my shoulder which put me in a sad and dark place and 2 i always wanted to be around my aunt Darlene .......i hope someone sees this or you Rebecca. ......remember life is to short make the most of it♥♥♥♥ NATALIA

Dear Rebecca, Watching this made me inspired. My Grandpa had to deal with a certain sickness. He was at the hospital for almost a month and a half. I'm sorry you had to deal with this. You were hurt but you still did the 13.1 mile run. You have the best energy evr human possible. thank you for inspiring me to stand tall when bad things happen and you really put life in prespective for me.
