In 2018, I flew with my uncle & cousin to Arizona. We contacted the Pinal County Airport manager, Jim Petty, to see if he could give us a tour around Pinal Airpark, and we were able to get one!! This is one of the coolest places I've explored. If you want to arrange a tour with Jim, just contact him via email. HOWEVER, with the current predicaments of COVID-19, I'm not sure if he's allowing them at the moment. All of these pictures and videos were taken on May 4, 2018. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO ON A TOUR, AND YOU WANT TO KNOW A BIT MORE ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT, HERE ARE SOME DETAILS:
- If you're planning on walking around the entire boneyard, you aren't permitted to do that. You're only allowed to walk around the 6 Boeing 747's in the middle of the graveyard. You'll be driven around the graveyard for most of the tour anyway. HOWEVER, you'll 100% be able to take some great photos, even if you aren't up close on your feet..
