Same here Valerie, from what I have read & Trump voters don't seem to accept or understand is Project 2025 will affect them more than anyone else . Cutting social security benefits, gutting universal healthcare, dissolving the dept of education.. plus the curbing of reproductive rights. Anyone who is self funded & doesn't rely on these will probably be ok. They will be able to afford to live, afford medical care, afford a top tier education & if 1 of their daughters needs help with a pregnancy- they can fly them to a 3rd party. Here in Florida kids, I guess, can work full time at 16 or maybe earlier. I know a 16 year old that works in his family's feed store. 90 +deg. and hard labor. He is home schooled, so maybe he will take time off now that other schools have started. His family will now get the new Florida voucher for $8k a year. Our poor rural county lost $20M in funding due to vouchers. I know one religious school student her that a student told me wasn't safe. Luckily the daughter of a friend is in public school as she wanted.

I have been forced to work an extra 6 hours to cover for a call-off or no-show, with the threat of "patient abandonment" charges if I didn't, then they took away a whole shift later in the pay period so I wouldn't have OT, which shorted me 6 hours. PLUS that mandated time was on days, so no shift differential. I don't work there anymore. I hated it.

I live in deep red Misery, and I have worked for a right to work company. Never again. We were treated like slaves, and salaried employees were required to work a minimum of 60 hours a week with zero overtime pay. I am a 100% disabled veteran, and I was terminated because I had to take off too much time for medical treatments. I will vote against the big business every time.

Second, there are a lot of government employees, with interests best represented by a union. Finally, there are no truly free markets. Rather, the "free market" is just one force among many. Like any institution, unions can abuse their position, and are subject to corruption. Which is why we have regulations. Regulations that cost to maintain.
