I just spent a month in Puerto Vallarta and I have to say, people in these areas, have nothing to ask to the US. In fact, I believe people live more proud and content with their lives than many in the United States. What one sees in the states is Mexican people who come from small towns, who hardly have an education, so it is harder for them to get ahead in Mexico. They move to the US, because US citizens don't want to do the manual labor these Mexicans are able to do.

I'm a Mexican living in Chicago. People posting negative comments here must learn to be less defensive and appreciate when a foreigner sincerely appreciates our culture and country. This is a good thing and makes both countries richer by having mutual admiration and respect. A foreigner doesn't have to know all the intricacies that make Mexico what it is; even we, as Mexicans, are most of the time completely unaware of how people from a diverse state live. For example, if you are from CDMX, your lifestyle and experiences are different from someone in Sinaloa or Chiapas. Bendiciones para Zane Travel

This guy…. Hahahaha The guy is saying that he likes seeing Walmarts, Costcos, Tim Hortons, and other American companies. They like the Roman-style to be American style. They don't come to understand your culture, they come to make you adapt to theirs and make your home look more like theirs so they can say, 'You are a developed country.' The Mexican is extremely submissive and allows themselves to be dominated by the soft power of United States culture. You are the perfect example.

Really, wrong at every word almost. Ends up eating at Maison Keyzer, the least representative restaurant of the area, but passes by Café Emir like nothing, an establishment thas has been there for over a century and where he could have had a VERY genuine Polanco experience. Also, you can get chilaquiles almost everywhere in the U.S. unless you are from deep bible belt or sth... doesn't investigate and says that Arrachera is steak (a marinated beef cut, but not steak)... and so on. Zane, your videos are nice! In Polanco, you missed a few highlights. Lincoln Park is a beautiful mid century park, and it has a bust of Abraham Lincoln and one of Martin Luther King, donated by the People of the USA to the People of Mexico. Also in this park is an open air theatre (Angela Peralta), an aviary, and various sculptures. Most of the Spanish-revival mansions you see in Polanco were built in the 1930s-40s, and are largely inspired by Californian Spanish Revival architecture. In Polanco you also find many synagogues, as well as the homes of important Lebanese-Mexican families (such as the childhood home of Carlos Slim and Soumaya Domit). Apart from the many restaurants and shops, there many galleries and museums in Polanco. The most important of these are within the Bosque de Chapultepec and include the Anthropology Museum, Modern Art Museum, Rufino Tamayo Museum, and the Museo de Historia Nacional at Chapultepec Castle -- which is the only imperial castle in North America. On the newer Nuevo Polanco area, there's also Soumaya Museum and Jumex Museum. Did you know Mexico City is, after London, the city with most museums in the world? Other surprising things about Mexico: After the US and Brazil, it is the country with most airports; after the US, it has the highest number of private aircraft; it is the seventh country in the world in terms of rail infrastructure (mainly, freight); color TV was invented in Mexico; as well as the contraceptive pill...there is a huge list of "firsts" or "achievements" that are not well known outside Mexico...for example, slavery was abolished in Mexico decades earlier than the US. In the 1930s and 1940s, along with NYC, it was the most important city for the arts. And, pre-independence, during the Viceroyalty of New Spain, Mexico City was the largest city of the Spanish Empire, much larger than Madrid, and rival only to Paris and London. It even has one of the oldest universities, and among the first 2-3 in the Americas. So yes, its an incredible place to visit! Enjoy.

Great videos from Mexico. the nice sunshine days are wonderful. Also whatever your hair routine is Zane, or you just have naturally great hair, or it looks great in that weather - It looks fantastic and overall you look much more relaxed and happy in Mexico than in US or Asia.

Fun fact, many Walmart or Walmart express stores were locations of a Mexican supermarket called Superama, which targeted a higher market than a regular Walmart. But Walmart Mexico acquired the brand and turnt it Walmart express with all the money they made with the cheap stores, their cheap prices forced other Markets to close. When Walmart Mexico arrived in Mexico City they acquired all the locations of a brand called Aurrera or Gigante. Today there are options for the high end market> City Market and Chedraui Select.

And thanks my fiend for let the rest of the world know more about our beautiful country; you will better know you’ll need tens of videos just for coverCDMX. Good luck amigo !

These Walmart stores that you entered are called Walmart express, they are smaller and have fewer products, almost everything is food, there are many other Walmart stores that are very large and sell clothing, household items, etc. like the ones you used in the USA.

About Walmart, there are two versions here in Mexico: the normal Walmart (American style like the one you expected to find) and Walmart express (smaller to be able to be in neighborhoods with limited spaces or more local, and with basic merchandise, you can find any of these versions of Walmart in Mexico City.

Tesla is currently building what I believe will be their largest assembly plant, outside of Monterrey (northern Mexico). So I imagine that there will be more and more Tesla dealerships over the course of time. BTW, the whole concept of "shots" is inapplicable when drinking mezcal. Mezcal should be drunk in tiny sips, alternating with slices of oranges that are dipped in salt and ground maguey worms (gusanos de maguey). It's almost a ritual. Of course, mezcal cocktails (like the one you had) are another animal altogether. Most Mexicans drink mezcal "neat".

Is there another vlog of Polanco next time or you’re only visiting there for a day? I’d like to see Lincoln park the statue of Martin Luther King facing Abraham Lincoln.😉 There’s also a park 3x larger than NY Central Park, wonder if you happened to visit there. How about the 2 museums and St. Augustine church? You need to go there, Zane. I don’t know if you love arts but I would definitely go there to check Mexican, European and Asian arts in ivory. Polanco is really a place to visit when in Mexico City. It’s worth to stroll their quaint pedestrians tree lined streets and avenues. Cute stores, bookstores, boutiques and cafes are also not to be missed. It’s on my bucket list.

It is not just a large house reason why it will be rare if not impossible to find one in Mexico City. Keep the great work man!!

Walmart Express stores are the product of the acquisition of a very famous high-end supermarket chain in Mexico, Superama, which Walmart bought and rebranded. This also caused a change in the store’s concept as it became a more accessible option for groceries, just like a normal Walmart. But the locations of the old stores were kept which is why you find it in places like Polanco (altho they did take that into account and partly retained the quality of those stores). We’ve also always had normal Walmart Supercenters which are pretty much the same as US typical Walmarts🙂
