Affordable tickets for a family are more appealing than expensive renovations which will make tickets for a family even more expensive. Rich man’s sport!

Not taking away from a family budget for recreation, but baseball is the cheapest live sports game in Toronto. There are double the home games than most major sports. Prior to the renovations, games would only sell out for the Yankees or Red Sox games. The stadium was dark and cavernous. Leafs, Raptors & Toronto FC games are mostly sold out with double the prices. Take advantage of baseball now as the final phase of renovations next year will see the total stadium seats go from 44,000 to 33,000. At least with baseball, there are monthly promos for dollar hot dogs and the ability for the kids to run the bases on Jr. Jays Sundays. Unfortunately, this is the pricing reality we all live in now. It'll likely go down again when the team consistently loses games every year.

Did they have the dome closed for the show light show and than open it up afterwards? Or was it raining before?

This year's renovations was only phase 1 one of the overall revitalization project. Phase 2 will be completed for next year with the entire lower bowl being revamped! I will definitely be in the building to experience that when it happens. Have you checked out the newly renovated Rogers Centre yet? If so, what new social space did you enjoy the most? Let me know!

Tear it down. Should have built a new ballpark.

Looks like a regentrified paradise for millennials who want to hang out at the ballpark but not give a shit about the game. This is the way things are going and all these places got to roll with the changes, get with the program or get left behind as an afterthought. I'll admit it looks cool and looks like a good time.

they did a great job. the only thing id like to see now is 1. updating the facade of the hotel, and; 2. turning the center field batters eye into something nice, like a waterfall feature. that area is just too big to be plain and empty -- comes off boring -- as if something is missing

Unfortunately, they designed it so they can have digital advertising on TV broadcasts. That’s why there’s a very faint rectangular shape on the batters eye when you look close enough.
