Wait a minute, churches and people praying?! But Stalin destroyed all of them and made himself the only god in the USSR! That´s a irrefutable historic fact, I saw it on a History Channel documentary.

It's not like the nazi's built concentration camps in Berlin..... the same way the Soviet didn't build gulags in saint Petersburgs

@@TheUnitedMarshmallowFederation There were katorgas under the Tsar, far more brutal than the Gulags of whose prusoners the overwhelming majority were non-political criminals and where there was no discrimination on the base of ethnicity or nationality and where the prisoners' labor was recompensated and the work did not fill the pockets of industrial capitalists but public means.

@@MrSmashencoo oh no, of course not the comparison I was making was hyperbolic, I was just trying to state that a video showing kids playing doesn't mean that there weren't people who were oppressed under Stalin's regime to use another example it would be like if someone saw a video of people having fun in San francisco and a comment saying "oh God look at how oppressed those people are living under muh Capitalism"
@MrSmashencoo
@MrSmashencoo 4 года назад
@@TheUnitedMarshmallowFederation True again, videos like this, however, arn't really intended to support that idea, and no one should be saying there were no gulags or something (is someone telling you this?), these videos help disprove the general idea still found in most westerners that the living standards were terrible and everyone was living in cold, or poor conditions. That's all.

I disagree with Marxist-Leninist on several issues involving the soviet union. However, The USSR was doing wonders in the 1930's. They were a industrial power that industrialize not for profit, but for the advancement of the Human condition. Socialism was making people literate, it was introducing farming equipment, and it did not even suffer from the market crashes and great depressions of Capitalist societies. Central planning in practice was the best of praxis birthed from the canals of theory. It's simply glorious.

This is how I'm different from a ML: 1. We can't only gain power through violent revolution. I actually agree with them that it is possible to do a traditional proletarian revolutions. However, I think we need to mix everything. we need to use all paths available in gaining power. so that would mean that we have to seek alternatives beyond the reform and revolutionary "binaries". 2.I like the ideal of a representative multi-party democracy. A democracy with the civil liberties of free speech, press, and the assembly. I think the Dictatorship of the proletariat will look similar to the structures of western democracy. 3. I do not think we will ever reach high stage communism. We will be stuck in combat with the Bourgeoisie. 4. Most ML states eventually become state capitalist. 5. Most ML societies were still dictatorships. 6. Marxism in it's traditional form is wrong. Marxism is not scientific, and the stateless, money less world wide society is impossible. The zapatistas and south American social democracies that follow the theory of "socialism in the 21st century" are the closest to what I want.

@@neo-jacobin6170 ah. Jacobin. I can now see where your thoughts get deviated from material reality. Have a nice day with that "constant undying war against the bourgiouse that never sees an end". This sounds to me like regular anarchist or Trotskyist rhetoric.
@neo-jacobin6170
@neo-jacobin6170 4 года назад
@@dinosaurifyful I don't believe in the theory of permanent revolution. A socialist state can't declare war on every capitalist power. To me, this endless battle is rather what happens with in the borders of the proletarian state. Also, How does my view on this issue relate to anarchism?

@@neo-jacobin6170 I agree with you, atleast in todays material conditions. To me I think marxism-leninism is applying a "do what works" in different conditions. I mean I don't think a ML party will ever grow in especially in a society when capitalism pretty much is totalitarian, and it's peace. But I am 100% sure it will grow in time of crisis if those leading such parties organize and do "practical marxism". But no ML's are actually doing "Practical marxism", and if they do they seem satisfied with having a couple of thousand members on vote, but like 20 active members. So in a way, they end up doing polical identity politics as everyone else in these western societies. It sucks to live in a society/country where if you are "left" you are forced to be labeled as "cultural marxist" together with PC left and Greta Thunbergists.
@neo-jacobin6170
@neo-jacobin6170 4 года назад
@@The80sWolf_ well, your basically right. However, the worse MLs tend to be American. The American Communist party ( the party that is in the same international as the Korean workers party and the CCP) loves Obama, Hillary Clinton and Andrew Yang( and they basically vote for any democrat). we have Maoist parties with a few hundred people that are larpers and we have "Third worldist" that can be summarize as " Kill whitey" people. People that literally see whit proletarians as useless. American Marxism-Leninism died in the 1950's around the start of the second red scare. the rest of the left is cringey. The social democrats are more right-wing than most socdem parties across the world. the Anarchist are degenerates. The trots are social imperialist. everyone else doesn't have a organization to join. However, the anti-idpol left is growing in america.

A few things i noticed was how young the general population was, the lack of overt Soviet Communist symbolism and that religious ppl were still allowed to visit monuments and other holy sites? The relative poverty as well, depressed living conditions, low consumption, overcrowding in communal apartments, dangerous working conditions. For the sake of rapid industrialization of course. Scene 10:00 was kinda fucked up but ppl gotta eat and i was a little disappointed they didn't refer to the cities as Soviet Russia. Other than that it seemed like two normal cities, maybe even progressive cities as well.
