I eat there after praying. Food ingredients come from the offerings paid by devotees of the temple. The same kitchen cooks the meals for the monks residing at the temple.
I used to go there couple years ago; forgotten about it since I no longer worked nearby. Didn't know they revamped the place and so many new choices of food! Can't wait to return to check out again. Thank you Ghib san for your recommendation!
Oh wow. Your video title is right! At least for me, I didn't know there's a hidden foodcourt beneath the temple 😲! The bee hoon you ate for $5 is considered a little ex but the western dish for the same $5 is ok, it's worth the price. As for the Miyazaki beef, gosh that's a huge thick slice, oooo la la.
Is ok, healthy vegetarian food and if can afford donate more to the temple. The objective is to develop a compassionate heart and help the less privileged people. Some poor people gone hungry, no money to buy food at hawker ctr. Nowadays, hawker food ctr, cooked food is very expensive.
Hi Ghib,, i went to Fieldsea a few months ago to buy the frozen burger and instant coffee,, it was nice, after this video i will go again,, thks for the info, Huat Ah,, 👍😬, i looked at old receipt, it was oct 31st i bought papua (5 drip bags), and wagyu burger patty, it was nice,, got discount from the wagyu patty,,
Hello friend, I enjoy watching your videos, the food looks so mouthwatering. 😊 Hope you have a wonderful Chinese New Year with your family in Singapore. 💜
So is it not free food any more? I remembered years ago I went there and the food was free for all. I was told it was donated by devotees. I felt bad for eating those free food since I felt that the food should be served to those more in need rather than myself, and so I stopped eating there. If they are charging now then I don’t mind to eat there again as I love vegetarian food too.
Wow that eatery has upgraded so beautifully! I was brought to that place years ago by my colleague :D Looks like Ghib has not tried Chinese vegetarian food much LOL. They don't use garlic and onion FYI. Most of the umami comes from mushroom. Lots of vegaterian stalls in hawker centres and also restaurant standard. Not sure about other hawker centres, I find the one near Mattarr MRT (Circuit Road Food Centre) has the most number of vegetarian stalls with great variety.
I always went there pray and after that their vegetarian is very good There is one at the Toa payoh. Temple call shao ling temple . Their vegetarian is very good too Please go and visit and try it out
Thanks for recommending the secret food court...Personally I loved vegetarian food and at the same time you can do some good deeds. Ironically you have to be indulging in your red meat after your vegetarian meal...LOL
@@bliz85 They probably found a replacement. Just like how they found a replacement for the meatballs. Anyway, if that doesn’t satisfy you, go look at the menu, aglio olio is there.
@@bliz85 They don't have to strictly use garlic. From what I see, they are also not strictly Buddhist vegetarian diet - cheese and truffle are not foods that Buddhist monks should be consume if they adhere to their teachings.
Love your channel and I usually like seeing delicacies like those, but with the way the world is post pandemic, I couldn't help but feel that the exorbitant amount of food in the mukbang was a tad disturbing. Just something to be mindful of.
Vegan cheese is cheese made from plants like soy, almond etc. Technology has come so far as to be able to produce synthetic cheese without the need for animal or plant milk.
I saw the sign at the side of the temple pointing to the staircase to this food court, but thought it was like a soup kitchen whose use should be reserved for the needy
A little concerned when you say that cooking that wagyu is the most exciting you guys have done in your own home. 11:50 But knowing Ghib's love for beef...Unsurprising.
Oh mind, if i am the food sponsor i will be very heart pain. U could have spilt in a few session & really appreciate & enjoy the expensive beef etc, rather than take each a bite...
Mukbang must be uninterrupted video showing people eating a HUGE amount of food. Your first attempt is not Mukbang but good try. Usually Mukbang is done by those Chinese/Vietnam people who CANNOT get fat. You, OTOH, are in mortal danger of getting sick or obese. With all due respect.
