It actually looks very real and cosy. Not like the fake places that nobody really lives in and are just a design statement. It looks like a very classy home.
Houses like this cost a lot of money to maintain. I'm betting it's close to 1 million a year. You should give your children a ranch or a farm not a mansion
Unless they are still making a lot of money and have great investments how can they continue maintaining this home. Cleaning and maintenance staff and gardeners alone would cost thousands a month.
Ray Leonard's Continuous wealth Is a direct result of An Astute Maryland Lawyer: Mike Trainer Who Had Him Incorporate His Enterprises To Own & Control All Aspects Of Revenues from his Fights, Completely Eliminating Boxing Promoter Don King.
I did, I have followed him his whole boxing career starting in the 1976 Olympics where he won a gold medal, he has always spent his money wisely, I remember reading a story about him when his son who was a teenager told his dad sugar he wanted a car like his, at the time he asked his dad, sugar had a Ferrari, sugar could have easily gotten him one, but he told his son you will work to earn a car like this until then you have to get what you can afford, to me that's a very wise loving father.
You can tell that they actually LIVED in this home, and it’s a beautiful home. The wife did a terrific job maintaining the Spanish feel of it. I would always wake up feeling like I’m on vacation there.
@@theopinionisthighqualityopinio We always think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. I guess it boils down to what you like and what makes you happy. I visited about 8 countries in Europe and if I had money I would have liked to know what it was like to live in England and Austria for a few months. I have spent several vacations in Kent and it was O.K.
@@theopinionisthighqualityopinio Yeah, bro.. Italians want AMERICAN cars cause theirs are crap, Italians want American Clothes cause theirs are crap, Italians want American art, cause theirs is crap, Italians want American food, cause Italian food is crap, wine, Coffee, shoes, opera, ...yeah, Italian's are all over wu tang, McDonald's, Starbucks and cats ( The musical )And Chrysler has it all over Ferrari and Lamborghini...lol
I just love how much they seem to love and enjoy each other… They seem to have devoted time creating their dream home - and now on to the next chapter…
God it is just sooooo good to see a boxer who didn't lose or get screwed out of his winnings. Ray is such a class guy I hope he is happy in his new digs.
@@neomalapane983 💯😁 My Brother! You must have been listening to Minister Farrakhan for the past thirty years 🤔 or Phil Valentine or was it Kenny Red🤔well nevertheless you're Spot on ✊🏾✌🏾
@@flintpowell1078 ....😂😂😂Actually haven't listened to any motivational speaker's in a while. It's just that I have a good woman myself...speaking as a witness🙌🙏😂❤
Honestly, the exterior is really beautiful but when she says she doesn’t want the house to feel like a museum, kinda feels ironic considering the amount of antiques in the house.
Antiques that you actually use and interact with are decidedly un museum-like. She pulled it off perfectly. I will miss Ray’s workout videos in that gym!
When we’re talking about luxury mansions, there’s one thing I’ve always heard “something imported from Italy”. Everything is imported from Italy. He said Italy something like 10 times only in this video. As Italian, it makes me feel proud!
Right, I have to document this moment in my personal history with a comment: This is the most exquisite Californian property I've ever seen. The interiors are of no consequence because architecturally the blank canvas is there. It's the building and landscaping that knock this out of the park. Heart-stoppingly gorgeous.
Wow. They put so much thought into this! I would never want leave this house! As long as the security system is state of the art. Very smart of Sugar Ray to let Bernadette decorate. I can't wait to check our their Born Indigo lifestyle brand!
I wish them the best in finding their next drop dead gorgeous home! 😍 I can see why they feel so at peace here 😌 I'm also glad how they mentioned they love the neighborhood because having your own personal oasis is lovely but having a well knit community is honestly priceless!! Glad to hear how they made such good use of both.
Good to see Sugar Ray living so well. Always makes me sad how Joe Frazier slept in a cot at some boxing gym he janitored at. He was one of the greats and should've lived well too.
Sugar Ray Leonard is my second favorite boxer of all time! Proud of him overcoming his personal demons, and increasing his wealth! He and his wife look happy and healthy! A champion in and outside the ring! 🥊🙏👑👏
I enjoyed listening to them, they seem to have a really peaceful and beautiful chemistry. The house is really nice and it has good bones, although I didn't particularly like the decor, not my taste but nonetheless a lovely home. What I really love is the exterior and the grounds.... Gorgeous 😍
Who knew Sugar Ray Leonard had money like that? He has done very well for himself financially. Unlike a lot of other boxers, he seems to have managed his money well. He also seems to be a good family man. Good job.
Actually Mayweather is much richer and has made the best use of his money than Sugar Ray and any living boxer. He has 3 massive homes in LA, Vegas and Miami valued at $100 million. Mayweather flaunts money he makes off others, bets and business partnerships - NOT HIS BOXING EARNINGS. He’s known to be very shrewd with business, philanthropic and worth over $450 million. He loves the antics that makes him unlikeable, yet he’s always planning when to make more money and spending very little of his own. He sets up businesses for his kids and exes and is still a 51% owner in all of them. He has strip clubs in Vegas and bets heavily in boxing where he ALWAYS wins. The guy you’re looking for is Mayweather even though he comes across ghetto- just like Puff Daddy and his $740 million net worth and many businesses people don’t realize he actually owns.
I’ve seen a lot of RU-vid homes from celebrities but this one won it all, absolutely gorgeous inside and out and so warming that it takes your breath away completely outstanding!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
The great Sugar Ray Leonard's courage and skill earned the money to buy it. I was looking for a room dedicated to his fantastic accomplishments which outshine any of the glowing architecture, ambiance of the grounds and all the rest. The house is a monument to his discipline, skill and courage. I am glad he is happy he is the one who earned it.
What a beautiful family home - someone's got an obsession with italian architechture ;) Juxtaposed with the american homey touches, quite lovely. Shame the new owners will probably rip it all out and start again to put their own stamp on but nice to capture it before that happens - hope you guys find your perfect home for your next adventure :)
Oddly, the stone flooring really catches my attention and think it adds a lot to the overall cozy feel, but it's the exterior grounds that I love. Lol, the introvert in me finds it soothing and think I could just wander around it all day.
So sweet of Sugar Ray calling his wife girlfriend. Their estate is gorgeous. Wonder why they want to sell that amazing property in such a pristine location.
Hmmm...not that difficult; 1. Kids moved on and just two people is a massive home, 2. Upkeep and maint. fees must be a staggering sum. 3. It's common for older rich people to downsize their property as they age.
It is very amazing. But the scope and size is unbelievable. I think now the family are grown up. I feel they want and need to move away. I guess it's lonely for THEM . Life is strange and stranger. Life is life though???...
Cosy, comfortable and warm family house, where people can actually live. Instead of a showroom like cold art gallery that we alas often see on this channel.
Oh man, He is still so handsome~his wife is absolutely gorgeous…Beautiful Couple, Exquisite House and mostly, the house and the people vibe is ooooooooola la!!!
Where do you move to after living in a house like this. Obviously you have to do another custom job from the ground up otherwise it'll be a huge downgrade. Man a gorgeous house.
This is so beautiful in every aspect that I had to pause the video several times just to stare and admire the level of perfection and details.Almost unreal...
What an amazing property! You can tell a lot of thought went into every piece and design.I’m sure they have made numerous wonderful memories there. I hope their next property can live up to this one, I mean this home is very beautiful and unique!😊 I’d love to see their next home !
🥊Silver Strand did all the finish carpentry on this house. My boss actually patterend his house like Sugar Ray's bc he liked it so much!!! And may I add I got a chance to quickly meet Sugar Ray at LAX a few years ago🤙
I never picture Leonard and his wife Bernadette in an Italian influenced home. I truly enjoyed the view of this beautiful home and the lovely couple. A toast to your next venture!
An exquisite Spanish Mediterranean villa with great details. The overgrown ivy is a natural feature and adds to the character of mature greenery. This estate is a family heirloom and should be placed in a trust.
This is a quintessential example of how more-is-more can actually work. The secret question will ever be, though -- why don't they leave such a significant estate in the family?
I think their family are all grown and very successful in their lives. So it's lonely for THEM and they want to downsize because its not the same for them both anymore. The house has become to massive and overwhelming for just a couple. What do you think? Oh the maintenance is probably big too...
It's really hard getting the siblings to agree on anything 😓 you have to put it in a trust with specific instructions and terms. Use equity to purchase smaller home and I'd lease this for celebrities, weddings, honeymoon, etc. Revenues for paying of equity loan, property taxes and profit goes into the trust to be distributed every five years...
@@SociallyBrandedMedia hi. Yes you are a good THINKER. But but? Remember siblings think differently. Also it's not all profit and trusts. The reality is in today's society its all expensive. Remember its not certain that the estate will make a profit???... it's wealthy to sell up and move on because all family members deserve their shares... who really wants to upkeep something old???...
This is such a beautiful and one of a kind home, you can see the love that they have pour into it! I wouldn’t be able to sell this house if it were me. It’s crazy how it feels so intimate and cozy but yet it’s huge!! I love the Spanish revival style! Also they are an adorable couple, you can feel the love!
What a gorgeous, warm, and inviting home. Absolutely exquisite design both inside and out. Probably the best of the mansions featured on this channel by far. Kudos to both of them and they have definitely succeeded in making it not feel like a museum
Wow that is a beautiful home I bet he spent as much if not more money on the finishing materials imported from Israel and Italy then he did on the home itself.
This is THE most beautiful house I've ever seen on AD. Never have I ever loved so many features and intricacies of a house. Everything is gorgeous... serene and nothing seems out of place. I kinda hate that they are selling it... because whoever buys it... is probably gonna make changes and I don't really think that that's gonna be an improvement.
