I’m not a mariners fan, but this look behind the scenes was captivating. Thanks for showing what happens in the draft room. I should look to add a mariners hat to my wardrobe.
I've been closely watching the mariners since 2018 and I think right now, there is no doubt in my mind that we'll make the playoffs this year. We've gotten so close last year, and just seeing the progression of the organization and the players, we're at the dawn of a golden age for the mariners. In my experience (since 2018) it's played out a lot like a movie.
@@Visious05 Not really. It's actually kind of the opposite. 2018 was a bloated payroll filled with old players who were good but not great. This year the team is filled with young studs who have the potential to be truly great, and the payroll space to go with it.
I liken Dipoto and the Mariners to when Pete took over the Seahawks. Pete changed the entire culture of the organization into what it is currently viewed: A top 5 organization. While the Mariners executives and ownership in constant dysfunction, the Ray of Light in Jerry Dipoto and Scott Servias we trust.
