Sammy paints us a vivid picture of the harsh living conditions he experienced at the ADX Supermax in Florence, Colorado. He opens up about the insanity of the inmates, the brutality of the guards, and extreme loneliness he felt during his six years in the hole.

I did 5 yrs in a regular state prison, I thought how lonely it was there. You're surrounded by people, but you can never let your guard down and be yourself. It's exhausting, I can't imagine how bad the experience would be in ADX.

@mattswich 2 года назад
@@stephendacey8761 another thing is we always worked out in our cells in plain view daily. Pushups, situps, and pullups. They never really bother with you if they see you have your routine. If you have a routine and your just towing the line it's no big deal. Easy ride. The loneliness is what gets you in there. I could care less about the other inmates and/ or sharks. The loneliness is horrible. Been in the hole a few times and it was just insane. You can literally hear the clock down the hall tick and seconds feel like minutes and there is nothing you can do. You can either beat your head against the wall, or go nuts. No windows, no connection to reality and half the time there is no hot water. Even in that condition when the hot water heaters are broken it's absolutely horrible. Made my stay 10 times worse. You get out and you push the wall of your shower because you forgot your home. You have to keep hitting a little steel button to keep the shower running for 10 seconds a push. When you get out you start pushing the wall in your own shower.

I caught a glimpse of him the first day, and wondered about it but the second day I was positive. I worked at the state capitol building and ran as fast as I could up to the security guard at the door and told him the man had been following me for 2 days. The security guard went and asked him what he was doing and of course he was in that Volkswagen minus the passenger seat. He said he was just sightseeing on his way to go to St George. My 97 year-old mother is still as haunted as I am about what happened. My whole family is. God was watching out for me those two days, but not the other girl

Just remember when you are sympathizing, he didn't stop on his own. He stopped because he got caught.

He was let go the first time, a multimillionaire. It was the second conviction in Arizona got him here.

This is the most realistic and relatable story on prison. The humiliation and loneliness

At the very least they should show a video of this place to troubled youth in high school or wherever to give them an actual perspective on how bad it can get because if this place isn't a deterrent nothing is. Thanks Sammy!

I think those conditions in ADX Supermax CO. are totally insane. I bet some inmates would rather be dead instead go thru this HELL HOLE. something is drastically wrong with our prison system. I know they had to edit the video cause it was hard for Sammy to describe what goes on in ADX Supermax. he had tears in his eyes. Thanks again, Sammy.

As bad as it was for Sammy did do the crime and many family members are hurting still to this day at the loss of a loved one. Sammy was brutal and murdered many people.
