Beautiful house that turned out amazingly: my company did all of the concrete work on this project. It was very tricky, known as off-shutter concrete or architectural concrete. It's so nice to see a gorgeous production video like this showcasing the finished project.
@donovan Hendricks no, didn't see any, the only excitement was when we were pumping concrete to one of the top levels, the outriggers of the pump were (unknowingly) placed over a shallow underground water mains pipe which was crushed, causing the road to collapse and the pump to fall against the structure.
I also spoke to the architect yesterday and he told me this when I asked him if he knew the house was featured in a Netflix series: Yes, it’s been in a few, also the latest Resident Evil, when Milla Jovovich stayed in the place a few years ago
It’s the granite boulders for me…that’s when you know the owner is wealthy, not just rich…when they literally can afford to design and build around the natural formations of the land. It’s breathtaking🇿🇦❤️
Really love that this channel is showing us some of the best architecture that South Africa has to offer - it's so unique! I would just like to give some feedback (and I only mean this in the most constructive, friendliest way possible), but maybe take some more time to think about what you're going to say instead of just aiming to shoot everything in one shot. If I wasn't able to view this video, how would you use your words to describe everything to me? Talk about texture, colour, unconventional shapes, the feelings that what you're seeing gives you. And where you feel like you have nothing to say, just let the architecture speak for itself. You have such calm, great presenting skills which really do all the properties justice, so it would be such a treat to see you talk more deliberately about what you're seeing! And also please wipe the camera lens 🤣

Incredible house! The Boulder is amazing & a very very interesting design!! I’ve watched a lot of these architectural tour channels, but yours is definitely one of the best! The description and mentioning cost of focal point items like that fire place. Im assuming that it’s warm enough year round in Cape Town to not need insulation to keep warm air in?
OMG ... a house on a big rock !!! This house was made for me !!! I would have a massive feature room hollowed out into that granite boulder ... polished and beautiful. Dare to dream, hey ??? LOL
This is a very beautiful home and I loved your presentation skills. I love the house but I could see my grandkids, whom I don't have as of yet, jumping off the cliff. Also, when I think about roads there and getting old. That is why I'm building in the village in Eastern Cape. Maybe one day you'll present my house LOL! This is a masterpiece though and my house does not even feature let alone come close though I'm still proud of it.
