@silewis9396 Henry twice (France Euro2004, Arsenal Highbury 2005/06 PL) Drogba Chelsea 2009/10 PL, DembaBa Chelsea 2013/14, Suarez vs Uruguay WC2014 etc... Always when the score was level and the opposing team then won due to his howler.
Euro 2000 Kevin Keegan didn't pick him he feels he should've gone. Glenn Hoddle had taken him to WC98 as a 19 year old he didn't play but he was young. Euro2004 banned would've been a regular starter like the 2 WorldCups either side of that tournament. Euro2008 again would've been a regular starter but didn't qualify he was 1of many important players who missed the last qualfying game vs Croatia which cost England their place. Euro2012 I think was a mixture of him being injured I think he was named in the team but then replaced because of injury although he could've used an injury as an excuse because I think he didn't want to play with Terry who allegedly racially abused his Brother Anton earlier that season and Terry says even now Rio blanks him.
Interesting that Stevie G back passes in 04 to lead to a pen, great assist btw, and then in Rio, he assisted his mate Suarez as well. Such a strange player, absolute physical force, bullet of a right foot, but the technical nuance of an elephant.
