The 2023 World Robot Expo kicked off on August 16, 2023, in the Chinese capital Beijing, with hundreds of robot tech pieces on display from around the world. The expo showed off humanoids in the form of ancient poets and modern bartenders, as developers worked to make robots more capable of assisting humans in various aspects of everyday life.

India is now the most represented higher education system, with 148 featured universities, 37 more than last year. It is followed by Mainland China with 133 and Japan with 96. Myanmar, Cambodia, and Nepal feature for the first time.

China has the problem of an aging workforce. Augmenting human labor with robots is a natural strategy, as it is for Japan which has the same problem.

To think that by the time I'm 50 these robots and androids will probably be mass produced. I don't know how advanced their personalities will be, but they'll at least be capable of basic interaction and repetitive tasks if I were to guess.

That's what I thought, too. cs for me I'd rather see human beings to do the job, I know some will make mistakes, but who doesn't.. For a farmers or, some big companies can use these robot tools for the things that are out of reach, like tall buildings or for dangerous places - policemen for packets. For entertaining in home care to make their day😊 - hospital.

You know Taiwan will be it's own country forever. It's never rejoining the mainland. Beijing will only face another century of humiliation if it tries to force the issue. Robots and AI will be a future point of disparity among Americans in a few years. Only the very rich will be able to afford the best technological help. AI personal assistants that look like supermodels or GI Joe. It'll be interesting to see the eventual roll out.

realistic human like movement is difficult to replicate because there are millions of muscles and joints that humans control. its not about the software but rather the hardware. how do you create something with a million micro parts?

we dont have that many "movable parts". the muscles are only there to push and pull the handful of main joints that we have. but its all happening under the hood. they serve a function. they dont give the illusion of movement. you can achieve the same exact thing with a stick figure.

Still, no one has been able to replicate the human hand in a way that can match the full functionality. All the small movements in the hand that make move Smoothly and Quickly in a non-straight path are still too many to automate with synthetics all at the same time.
