Pens, paintings, old typewriters, and centuries-old adventure books-these are just a few of the things in the world of Jose “Butch” Dalisay Jr.
He welcomed us into his tidy Quezon City home on a humid Friday morning in May of 2022. There, he shared with us some of his most prized reads, including tomes from the 1500s.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of that. This is a wonderful idea, getting readers to guide us through their collections. No two will ever be the same, even if the owners have the same books on their shelves, because they got there for different reasons.
