@Jim. Lucky Americans. In Socialist Orwellian Norway the dreaded Children's Protection Agency is actually "concerned" even when parents learn their sons safe archery. No exaggeration. This is how feminized it has become over here
Squirrel: Yes, blessings be to the Killers. As a lighter comment did you ever see the cult classic movie "Zardoz" with Sean Connery? You should be so proud that you've created your cult of killers.
For those who may have missed it, pay attention to how she’s in the habit of 100% control & safety of her weapons! My compliments to her father & others who taught her to do this 100% right, 100% of the time!
@@TDRN1 and where was that implied? Only children have to put words in peoples mouths to make a point. In fact if you read the comments a lot of respect is given to her father for raising a strong responsible mature young woman. That's the key right there. People like me believe that anyone who can show they are decent, responsible, and disciplined should be allowed to keep and bear arms if they so choose. Ignorant hateful fools like yourself should NOT own guns.
@@TDRN1 you do know that if someone is going to shoot up a place but in that building there is someone conceal carrying that person that is conceal carrying can stop the shooter it's not just kids it's God damn common sense
Get it girl! Much love from North Carolina! My daughter is 7 and she's been practicing with her BB gun all year long to work up to my old Ruger. She saw this video and was super inspired to keep working at it. Thanks for being awesome, your Dad too! God bless.
@@spinnerfidget9546 yea good luck beating a 220 lb 6'5 guy while being 160 lb and 5'8 as a man. Going to be 10 times harder as a woman since you have smaller frame and less testosterone.
@@frederik4640 Learned to shoot when I was five as well, and by my mother was the one who educated us. We were not given the gun, they were stored in a safe place out of reach. There is a big difference, I suggest you learn it.
Katie, you go GIRL!!! You're Father is proud of you and he is a good man. As a Father of 2 Daughters (that know how to defend themselves with a firearm) and a 20+ year Youth, Firearm, Personal Safety Instructor YOU make all of US proud. AIM HIGH!
I've been a fan of Katie's since she was about 13, and have a great amount of respect and admiration for her dad for building this kind of relationship with his daughter. Good job, Dad.
This is what our children should Inspire to be. The knowledge that she has, the respective Shea shows, the push to learn not only in school, but it's safety with a firearm. She is not a feminist, but a beautiful young lady. This is what our children need today. The world is cruel, to defend yourself is very important. To educate yourself is a must. It appears that this young lady has it all. Her parents should be commended for raising such a wonderful young lady.
Great job, Mr. Francis! You are setting your daughter up for success. Proud to have you both as fellow Americans. Dad taught us all how to hunt and fish and we are, to this day, thankful. It bonded us to our parents. It made us closer, as a family. Not be cause it was hunting and fishing (although nothing is a cool or fun at a young age), but because it was a family activity. Family activities are a great thing. Even once a week. Even a silly board game can make the difference in a kids life. Katie, keep up the excellent work, be safe and keep a clear sight picture.
Wonderful to see a young girl being responsible. No doubt she will be a great credit to our society no matter what path she chooses with her firearms skills. Her Dad must be very proud of the mature young woman she will become.
My dad tried to shoot me when I was 5 lmao. Regardless my mom got me a rifle at 12, revolver at 16. I bought my own AR last year as soon as I turned 18
Wow, I would be so proud if my kid would be that smart, dedicated and talented! Good parents showing their kids responsibility, and being there for them.
This is great keep it up, girl . I come from a family of competition shooters this is a great way to teach people about guns, gun safety and fun. It is to bad that the sport has suffered over the years and also that the media only shows the dark side of guns. This was a great video to show anohter side and i wish more would be out there like this.
My Daughter is 5, and she sees me with my Guns all the time cuz I Predator Hunt, so she's always asking if she can have one, and so on. I say "Of Course.I'll teach how to shoot when you're older, and all my Guns will go to you one day. Unless u don't want em." But i'll also get her own Stuff if she really wants to get into it. The Daddy in this Vid's got his head on straight. I like that.
I love how quick and decisive competitive shooters are in their general movement. Watching her get out of the truck and make that move... so physically competent
Respect to your father for teaching you how to safely handle a firearm, hunt if needed, shoot for fun/competition and be able to defend your home, your property, your life and other people's life as well. You have the right attitude and outlook. I will be teaching my daughter the same.
A perfect example of learning how to be safe and handle any firearm. Cudos to Dad for teaching and training this young lady. I congratulate her in her past accomplishments, and I wish her well in future competition.
Well done to you and your dad! My father taught me to shoot at 8 years old & I have continued all of my life to where I am now at 54. It is safe, challenging & great fun.
Thank you to Marie Claire for courageously showing positive aspects of legal gun ownership and responsible enjoyable shooting sports. Katie is a well informed, intelligent, compassionate, young woman who effectively expresses her beliefs about societal issues, self defense, gun control, and responsible gun ownership. Katie is an impressive young woman in many ways, not just for excelling in local, national, and international shooting activities, she is also a good student, responsible and disciplined, a good friend, a good daughter, a good citizen and a good ambassador for the USA. In one of her statements she said “a gun is a good equalizer between a woman and a man.” I believe she meant because of size and strength issues. However, I suggest that a more clear statement is that a gun is a good equalizer between a good person and a bad person. And finally, congratulations to Katie’s parents for raising a wonderful daughter.
To be good at something takes persistence, talent, skill and be responsible. This young lady has been shown the right way by her dad. Well done dad. Great job.
Children should be taught guns and gun safety even if they will never normally use one or own one. My dad got me a bb gun at age 4 and taught me right from wrong. I never had to have it taken away from me. Had a .410 shotgun at 9 and a 22 at 10 . Ive never hurt a sole not even myself thanks to gun education and respect of firearms and people. People who dont teach their children anything and simply blame others for all their bad will suffer a terrible crisis sometime in their lives .
So awesome.. Loved the Video sweet heart keep up the good work!! I sent this video to my 20 year old daughter she loved it! Love how you put out how responsibility makes a difference... Very important.. thank you so much!
Her maturity at 16 is truly outstanding. From the limited detail we see here, it seems like excellent parenting and no over sexualised nonsense that we so often see. I strongly approve. Good video.
AMAZING GIRL and Amazing Dad / Solid people. Each of us may not have a champion shooter child, but there is millions of these families in our Great USA. Only Country in 6,000 years to be Run By the People for the People. God Bless the USA
Katie you are what so many young women would want to be like if only they were allowed to see shooting and shooting sports done in a positive and safe way, I thank you for standing up and being a great example for young women every where! I have been competing with shotgun (trap and skeet) since I was 16 and traveled the United states every winter competing and it was a time of my life that will never be forgotten, nothing I liked more than seeing a gun rack full of Perazzis and then go out and beat every one of them with my 870 Comp. My daughter has been shooting since she was 10 and we try to go out every other week end and spend time at our range shooting Pistols up to .45 and rifles up to 7.62x51, I am letting her get used to recoil SLOWLY. She shot her first deer a month ago and made a perfect shot and did everything exactly as I taught her, I could not have done better myself, it was a great day to be a DAD! This Christmas her main present will be a setup Ruger Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Leupold LRP on it and give her a taste for some longer range fun and see how she likes playing that game. And Trust she will see this video when she gets home! Thanks you again Katie from a Dads view I want my daughter get the chance to see the world from YOUR eyes, and realize what guns and shooting really are and can be! Great vid and please make more!
Man, I’m jealous. I’ve only started shooting since I was fifteen and fell in love with it. Before that, I could only do normal, boring sports. It’s a very relaxing sport when you’re target shooting. Way more than a physical sport. Considering that she’s competed on such a high level, she’s definitely way above my skill level.
It is ridiculous that on a video showing a young woman who is disciplined, has goals, has strong priorities in her life and has a good career in front of her that people would use that to push a political agenda.
Wow. This video needs tp be broadcasted nationwide on every channel. Fantastic display of proper gun ownership and a depiction of most American gun owners. A sight the media refuses to see.
Crebs Park Whats the point of your comment? To use the term snowflake? Did someone call you snowflake and you were looking for a reason to use it? My comment had purpose.... yours is not only illogical, but also self projecting.. please, break this down for me. Whats your* thought process?
