Entitled VIENNA SHOWCASE, the Vienna Tourist Board launched a new live stream series in 2020 which takes participants on virtual tours of the latest highlights of the capital’s art and culture scene. The latest issue features the MAK (Museum of Applied Arts) and its collection of the Wiener Werkstätte.
The new General Director Lilli Hollein guides through the museum and elaborates on visionaries of applied arts.

One of my favorite places in the world, perhaps second only to the Leopold. I was last there in December of 2019 and was so incredibly impressed. As well as the stunning permanent collection, the bentwood chair exhibit, the Prutscher exhibit, the Japanese woodblock prints and that year's poster exhibit were all exquisite. I love everything about the MAK, including the gift shop and staff. Even the Salonplafond is a world class museum restaurant that is well worth a visit on its own. I expected to return the summer of 2020, but here we are still waiting. Thank you so much for this video.
