Such a nice guy, you can tell he's so delighted to be part of the paddock! Results will come with time so hopefully he keeps the level head. It's sad how much of an obstacle the money is to these guys progressing. Does anyone know how much it costs riders for a Moto3 season?

Great show. Nice to see Scott get some airtime. I get the feeling that if he was Italian or Spanish he'd be in the top five already. Crazy that Honda doesn't share data...guess that shows why they are floundering across all classes. Please Mr Laverty...sort out a deal with KTM 🙂

Great show, as always. Not been to a British GP since it was at donnington and considered going this year, untill I saw the price for camping. £130 for a pitch, great if there's a group of you but for one person they are seriously taking the piss. Bring back Donno. And good look Scott for the rest of the year.

Don't ever go to Shitverstone mate. Bikers are clearly 2nd class citizens. 2 years ago I refused to ever give Shitverstone a penny of my money ever again, the way people were treated was disgusting. Being objective the toilets and parking at Donington were horrific but the viewing was excellent. I would love it if GP's went back to Donington.

Great interview,seems a level headed guy with a realistic view for moving forward. Hopefully Michael Laverty can ultimately spend more time with him which would probably be very beneficial to Scott.

Very interesting interview. I love Moto3 and even follow several riders in the CEV too. It's great watching the young talent come through to MotoGP, although some do it more quickly than others. Sad to hear that Honda don't share data with their teams. Seems they are lacking in all areas and not only in MotoGP.

Great interview! Really enjoyed listening to what Scott had to say as I've only seen the occasional 30s interview with him on the grid, etc. He was much more eloquent and entertaining than I'd given him credit for! The money situation always seems to hold back the Brits, even when they're living in Spain and competing directly with the future stars that seem to get all the funding. We need to start wooing the British billionaires to get them involved, or maybe get Lewis Hamilton to invest in young talent rather than just buying the Gresini team for the glitz and glam! 😄

At the end of the day motorcycles and motorcycling has always been looked down on in the UK, and is still the case in my opinion. And that is why motorcycle racing gets very little in the way of the much needed sponsorship, the best of it is that when a British company does sponsor a race team in MotoGP its for a Frenchman. For me its the ACU that are mostly to blame as far as grass roots motorcycle racing and bringing on new British talent is concerned. You cant blame Silverstone and Donnington, as they now give you first class facilities unlike most of our other circuits that are outdated and a mess, and need updating and modernising to attract younger people in through to gates.
@hunter9372

The main problem we have in the uk regarding MotoGP is sponsorship, The big business company’s in the uk just don’t want to involve themselves.

Keiths right about his silverstone comments, etc. Annoying thing is Brits (sweeping generalisation, I know) seem to care more about bsb and the TT than the world scene. They have an intense pride over their domestic scene (quite rightly) but theres almost a little superiority thing attached, you know that "oh yeah marc marquez is good, but Id bet he couldnt ride oulton park or the TT" mentality. Anyone else remember scott redding winning the bsb title in his first year?) It doesnt help that motorcycle racing in the UK gets almost ZERO coverage, EVER, unless its to report on tragedy.

We all now where we need to get the money from Keith but our government would rather give it to others rather than looking after their own. Great show as always. 👍
@macsmith6216
@macsmith6216 Месяц назад
And when did in the past present or future did the Government pay towards motorsport Plenty of the top Spanish riders struggled and had very little money, Pedro Acosta, J Martin both have told how they nearly never made it because lack of funds. Talent still rises to the top

Find it strange as Scott says that he is not familiar with Silverstone, our domestic series doesn't use it , it's not even a advantage when our youngsters come home. Then there is the situation with most bikes being run by Spanish and Italian teams, backed by Spanish Italian business.

It’s crazy that a English F1 team can’t help out with some wind tunnel time for Mlav racing

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. We have Red Bull and McLaren based here and Lotus. Surely they can help out. MLav should be knocking on their door for some patriotic help.

Or the aerospace industry...or ammunition firms. There's a lot of advanced engineering firms based in this county which could help I'm sure.

Surely there is someone better in the uk than this waste of space. 2 years in moto3 and absolutely no improvement whatsoever. It's painful to watch. Sack him and move on! I agree with every word Neil Hodgson said regarding this totally inept rider.
