+Aznoz Jimm Maybe no team has broken the record before but there is a big gap in talent from top to bottom in the league now. There have been so many bad teams in the NBA the past few years. Just look at how many teams go on such long winning streaks now. Did you know that 9 of the top 15 longest winning streaks in nba history have happen in the past decade?
The problem is there isnt many strong teams. Thats why you have so many long winning streaks now. Teams play so many bad teams then have a big game and if they take care of that they have another stretch of beating up bad teams so they are able to compile long wining streaks with only having a couple of tough opponents.
+Kevin Flowers A team with Wade, Bosh and LeBron didn't even come close to that level of dominance displayed by the Warriors. The Spurs, this year, is a legit great team, and they don't have an answer for the Warriors either.
no hand check on michaeljordanscottiepippentonikukoc? Nyahahahaha. Loved how Chuck's facial expression says it all!!! Just watch some of MJ's Wizard games scoring up to 40pts at the age of 40, you'll get the idea how michaeljordanscottiepippendennisrodmantonikukocronharper will be devastating in this era.
1.It's not like Warriors chose who they played to win the NBA Championship. 2.They can only play the best teams to advance through the rounds to reach the finals. 3.Thy can't help who get's injured, to prove it was no fluke. This season they swept a fully healthy Cavs twice once by 30+ points, Spurs 3-1 once by 30+ points, swept Clippers, swept Rockets. 4. Warriors beat Pelicans,Memphis,Rockets & Cavs. All there star players Davis,Gasol,Harden & Lebron were NBA 1st team All-NBA for 2014-15, so that was the calibre of players Warriors had to beat to win the championship.
+MrYoumitube But it's a fact that they DID faced injury-riddled teams and it might be a fluke. They have no control of their luck, but they did get the luck and it did work for them. So, Charles is right to some extent. Since Warriors had an easy road, nobody knows how they'll fare with a normal route and Charles wants to be optimistic that they would be stopped via a normal route. I can understand him.
+KayJayA7X Warriors in 2014-15 number 1 regular season wins 67,points,points differential,sp%,pace,3p%,fg%,2p%,assists,opp efg%,drtg,efg%, beat Davis,Gasol,Harden,Lebron all 4 players are members 2014-15 All-NBA 1st team. Talk about lucky!!!!!!
MrYoumitube Mike Conley was injured against the Warriors. Freakin' Nick Calathes who's out of the league now was playing Steph Curry. Then Rockets didn't have Donatas Motiejunas and Patrick Beverley the whole playoffs. Both are 20 minute players. Beverley could have played intense defense on Curry but old man Jason Terry was guarding Curry that series. And then, everyone knows LeBron has got no Kyrie nor Kevin. The Warriors were lucky. They could have won against full teams, but still, they got lucky.
+KayJayA7X - - GSW has beaten ALL the HEALTHY "next best" teams you name - this year ALREADY..and lost only 9 games the whole season.. the 8 eastern Playoff teams have LOST to everybody - a total of 262 games( avg 32 losses). the 7 western Playoff teams have LOST to everybody - a total of 230 games (avg 32 losses). Piston, Celtics and Spurs are the ONLY teams in the playoffs that beat them this year. Spurs got 1win out of 4 games. Everybody has done every defense adjustment to stop Steph.. BUT the TEAM is so much more than ONE man..
Lafayette Mitchell This is the playoffs. Teams are gonna send their best line-ups for 48 minutes and fight till the death. No more Popovich resting Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. No more OKC throwing games because Durant and Westbrook are hungry for their first rings and you can tell. No more Blake-less Clippers cause he's back. No more laxed Cavaliers cause when the team does that LeBron is gonna scream at them in the locker room. This is the playoffs. GSW won't get to play 10 straight scrubs and then 1 serious game against the Spurs. Another 10 straight scrubs and then 1 serious game against OKC etc. No. It's now a series. 4 to 7 straight games against 1 very good team. People see GSW's record-breaking 73-9, but Spurs are right behind with 67-15 which was GSW's record last year aka GSW are facing a team of equal standard as the championship winning GSW last year. We'll see how it turns out.
+fangman21 Nahh. He's saying how GSW can tweak their team according to which era they play in so there can't be a comparison? LOL WTF. We are talkin' bout this 15'-16' GSW vs the 95'-96' Bulls. Names are fixed. There's no Rick Mahorn in this 15'-16' GSW team so what's he trippin' bout switching players? LOL. Nobody on this panel has their mind straight except maybe Ernie because he's not analysing anything.
+KayJayA7X nah he's just saying that everybody's complaining about eras i.e. Steph couldn't hang in the 80's which is untrue. If you straight up switch him for Isiah the Pistons still win championships
KOOL Nah, Steph is a nice guy. He'll not do well if bodied. Shooters' worst flaw is physicality. You can't be in the groove getting bumped here and there the whole game. He will still do good tho, but not this good.
+KayJayA7X To quote you, "Shooters' worst flaw is physicality. You can't be in the groove getting bumped here and there the whole game.".... Are you saying there were no good shooters that thrived before the rules changed and eliminated hand checking? You seem to forget there were great shooters in the 80's and 90's with rail thin frames. Mark Price? Jeff Hornacek? True they didn't have stats like Curry but they're not as great shooters as Curry either. I hear your point, Curry definitely would need to work harder to get open and drive etc if players could hand check him, but a player as great, as skilled, as smart and as talented as Curry would've learned to adjust. And Kenny's point is if they needed Bogut or Ezeli or someone else to play like Rick Mahorn, they probably could. Good, talented players with high basketball IQ can adapt. Iggy is a perfect example. In Philly he was counted on to score, to create more, but in GS they need him to be a stopper and make the right plays and move the ball etc. He adapted because he needed to play this way to win.
They can but they have to go small, thats why Doc was testing out a small lineup when they were up big in the 4th with Blake at the 5. It could work and they can all hit freethrows so a fairly even game, and they both have deep benchs.
GS strength is shooting with most of that damage done by Curry and Thompson they are are ok defensively, rebounding the Clippers can beat them 4 times with great defense and rebounding I like GS but I'm with Barkley I don't think they win the title this year
Charles always be hating on the GSW and not be given' Curry the cred for all his hard work. He's always giving props to Kawhi ... Look at the record Chuck...
+Melotone drone For some reason Chuck has been hating on Golden State for years. When they had the nice run with Baron Davis, Jason Richardson, Stephen Jackson and those guys, he was hating on them too. His predictions are mostly false though and his opinions are based on personal bias and a small basketball IQ. He doesn't really know anything about the league now, and will eat his words soon, if he even cares or remembers what he said. He's entertaining but not a source of any basketball knowledge.
+Richard S. For some reason? He's been giving his reasoning time and time again, he doesn't believe a team that relies so heavily on shooting can win multiple championships, and that's totally fair since he's from an era where it was essential to have the best big guys and he has seen a lot of shooters crumble in play-off series. Yes he may be biased, but everyone is biased towards their own experience and to the things that they've witnessed, it's ridiculous to say that a hall of famer wouldn't know anything about the league, especially when his job is to analyze basketball games in this era. Who knows, maybe Charles will eat his words and the warriors will win the championship for the second time in a row, but that would be the first team ever to win back to back while being so reliant on playing small-ball and chucks analysis would only make the warriors achievement even greater because then they would've won even though some analysts were doubting them.
+Sayandeep Das The question of can GS beat the 96 Bulls is irrelevant and makes no sense because it can't be proven. Why discuss something with zero substance when not thing about it can be proved? We can discuss facts however. 73-9 beats 72-10. There's no debate about that FACT
gotem nigah It makes no sense because there's no way to measure or prove anything. This years Spurs had a great season. One of the best seasons of all times in fact. Let's discuss which team is better between them or the Warriors since 1. They played 4 times this year. 2. They'll most likely play this post season. Let's discuss things that can be proven.
He keeps saying "they had an easy road last year, everybody they played was injured". Man they just played who was in front on them. People always talkin bout how they didn't play the spurs, or the clippers, the "tough" teams to get to the finals, conveniently ignoring the fact that those teams COULD'VE played the Warriors, but they didn't take care of business! The spurs lost in the FIRST round. The Clippers blew a 3-1 lead and couldn't get past the Rockets! Whose fault is that? It's like Klay T said : "we wanted to play the Clippers, but they didn't handle their business"
What's the use of comparing both teams if they can change personnel. Like if warriors can change personnel, it wouldn't be the 2016 warriors vs 96 bulls. U can't compare one team to another and then change personnel
Houston was hurt last year in the playoffs? and if you come back and say Patrick Beverley was going to be the difference maker that would change the 4-1 series, you're crazy and GSW beat the Cavs this year twice, once blowing them out...
Warriors SWEPT OKC this season. They beat SPURS 3 out 4 times this season. They SWEPT the Clippers this season. They twice DESTROYED CLEVELAND this season. ALL of them were "healthy". U HAVE NO ARGUMENT.
+Zachariah-Bin Yisrayl Playoffs is a different game. Every single team they played in their playoff run last year had injured starters. Lets see Golden State beat the Cavs in the finals with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green injured and out for the season. Would easily get swept.
Chucks needs to admit that Golden State is the best team and Curry is the best player. Otherwise he is just an entertaining fool with a strong unprofessional bias.
+Richard S. What did he say that was biased? He stated that every team the Warriors played was hit with major injuries. In the Cavs case with both Irving and Love out. They avoided SA and OKC as well. It's hard for someone who is unbiased to try to ignore all that in the playoffs. Also Steph is not the best player, and without the Warriors breaking the wins record this year would not even be in discussion for top 2. In fact it's the only reason he won MVP last year.
***** No he wouldn't. The Warriors winning is the biggest reason Steph was in the discussion because the media almost always picks the best player on the best team, which happens to be Curry in this case. There's no sane person who knows basketball who would try to argue that individually Curry is on the same level as LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Curry has been great for a few years now, and is only now getting the shine because the Warriors got other players who made the team better as a whole. LeBron and KD, are easily the two best players in the world.
***** Not necessarily that Curry is winning MVP. He had a great, worthy MVP type season. It's the assertion that winning MVP and being the best player in the world is the same thing. It's not, &I just explained why. Also I gotta keep reminding myself I don't hate Curry, it's the millions of bandwagon fans that are riding the Warriors and Curry because they became good. In addition, ESPN now shoving Curry and his family down our throats 24/7, and constantly trying to compare him to MJ because he's flavor of the month. It's as if this season has become proof that he's better than Magic, Michael, Kobe, LeBron, Bird combined because white america can relate to him because he is small, unathletic, and looks white with a humble demeanor and nice family. People can relate to someone small shooting 3's all day. They can admire and respect a Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, but they can't relate to going out and being a freak athlete and dunking.
Comparisons are being made between this team and the 96 bulls. Nobody is comparing the Spurs to the 96 Bulls. Certainly not the Cavaliers, Clippers or Thunder. We are in the midst of greatness with this warriors teams and just like those 96 Bulls they are clearly the best team in the league at this time. They just need to go and finish the job off and get that ring because without the chip the 73-9 won't mean that much. As an addition the 96 Bulls would easily win 72 games in 2016 rules and I would pick them to beat the Dubs because of Michael and the defensive skill of the team, even without hand checking. They are the only 80's/90's team that could transcend into 2016 and still be successful.
It's like the media doesn't like to mention how much the rules have changed to make the game easier. Not just hand checking...but BIG MEN (like Shaq) could camp in the paint on defense in those days. Their was no time limit for defenders in the paint. Not that the Warriors play inside a lot....but you'd be lying if u said it wouldn't be MUCH harder to penetrate and score.
exactly, he didn't get to play as much back then because PFs were way more physical and were supposed to rebound etc. Nowadays he could play way more minutes without being a defensive liability at all.
I think you do, you're just purposefully being difficult. Imagine Nikola Mirotic now but just better at everything. I think Toni would average 20 plus easy if he somehow got transplanted from 1996 and placed in today's NBA.
bulls record during hand checking era 1) 95-96' team = 72-10 2) 96-97' team = 69-13 3) 91-92' team = 67-15 That's 23 games lost in two years (first two #'s above). LOL get your facts straight homie
I dont care about any rules or if the game is soft or anything. I dont care. If youre a team in ANY sport and you have won 73 games out of an 82 game stretch. you are a force to be reckoned with in ANY point in time. You people do not get the magnitude. 89% win rate. Arsenal went the whole season unbeaten in England but didn't have 89% w/r. They also didn't win their version of the playoffs that season (champions league). Yet they are and remain Legendary. Im not a basketball fan as u may already be able to tell from my reference, but even i had to tune in to watch them play. America's obsession with stats and numbers instead of watching the game(which was transcendent by the warriors) continues to baffle me. Respect this team. Forever.
Not sure why ppl continue bringing up the fantasy scenario that puts the GS Warriors vs the 96 Bulls. It will never happen. It can't ever happen. Why discuss things that can never exist?
+IchimonjiBlade When you watch a science fiction movie you suspend belief for those two hours and that story is real within that circle of time. Outside of the movie, if you're having a serious debate about who would win a duel between Yoda and darth Vader then you would be a nutbag. Same with the Warriors vs the Bulls. IT MAKES NO SENSE
He makes a good point with the hand check, but illegal defense did help the offense greatly. Imagine steph curry with a side cleared 1v1 he'd kill. Put Michael in todays rotating defense, he'd always see doubles. He'd still be great but it certainly wouldn't make him better.
I don't think you can compare the Bulls and Warriors with the rules. If the Warriors had grown up in the era with handchecking so they would've been more used to it. Obviously if you put the Warriors in with 90's rules they would struggle because the rules would be foreign to them
+w3x8m2173 A lot of people forget that the 95-96 bulls lost TWICE to a team with ONE MAN 3 point shooter, Reggie Miller and the Pacers. How would they contend against a team with ELEVEN 3 point shooters?
Charels, the Spurs bigs are better then the Clippers. GS beat them twice. On the road and home. If they can beat SA at home and the road, they will definitely beat the clippers.
1st thing: thunder fan 2nd thing: to compare, u gotta ask, is it harder to win 72 games in 1996 or 73 in 2016? i'd definitely say its harder to win 72 in 1996 than 73 today. 3rd thing: if this warrior team played in 2016 with 1996 rules, they wouldn't win 72. if the 1996 bulls played in 1996 with 2016 rules, they'd probably win 80 games. 4th thing: what kenny is saying at the very end is right. the bulls winning 72 in their era was unbelievable and to suggest that anyone could have beaten them was kind of sacrilege. this golden state team is the chicago of this era. they are so good right now, and so much better than everyone, suggesting they will lose in the second round is almost sacrilegious because they've been dominating everyone. 5th thing: chuck said that the big guys and the better teams can beat the warriors, and the clippers have the best big guys so therefore stand the best chance. look at GSW record against the best teams. they virtually beat them all every time, losing only 1 time to arguably the 2nd best team of the last 10 seasons behind only the current GS team. pretty much all of golden states (9!) losses came at the end of back to backs and virtually all of them came on the road. theres no such thing as back to backs or travelling in the playoffs. 6th thing: the only team that has even a chance to win a GAME against golden state is san antonio, and even then i give them 2 max 7th thing: michaeljordanscottiepippendennisrodmantonikukoc
Loved chuck as player but he's just a straight hater of the Dubs . He's entitled to his opinion but to say the Clippers is a better team is just a joke. Steph is having one of the greatest seasons ever and to say Chris Paul is better as well as a better leader is just nonsense. I love Chuck but his lack of respect is astonishing
LeBron will do anything to the best of his ability this year to win the Finals for the Cavaliers. He's been playing amazing over his past few games and is going to dominate the playoffs like he did last year when he averaged 30.1 PPG 8.5 APG 11.3 RPG. Last 10 Games Stats LeBron: 28.4 PPG 8.5 APG 8.0 RPG 1.3 SPG 0.8 BPG 65.1% FG% 83.6% FT% 41.7% 3P% in 35.6 minutes per game Curry: 29.3 PPG 7.5 APG 5.7 RPG 2.4 SPG 0.1 BPG 48.5% FG% 86.0% FT% 46.3% 3P% in 36.0 minutes per game Also, just to let you guys know that you can't blame only LeBron for his Finals loss last year. Some haters mention that he was shooting poorly in the Finals, but what they fail to realize is that his teammates shot WORSE than he did in the Finals. LeBron: 78-196 FG (39.8% FG%) 13-42 3P (31.0% 3P%) LeBron's teammates: 118-315 FG (37.5% FG%) 36-125 3P (28.8% 3P%) He HAD TO force some shots to keep his team in the game. Plus, he averaged 8.8 APG, so you can't call him a ball hog. Also, just to make things clear, I am NOT saying that the Cavaliers will win the Finals this year for sure or that LeBron will win the regular season MVP.
Chuck never makes me fail to laugh, as well as to Shaq! 😂😂😂 This is why I always watch the NBA on TNT... IMHO, Chuck and Shaq is definitely right about the current NBA hand check rule and the other rules that made the current league soft. No team can't stop any 80s, 90s and early 2000s elite teams with that kind of ruling...😑
+davidlui620 handchecking is unimportant. Here's what the removal of handchecking did to the top ten perimeter scorers the year it was removed: - Summary of 2004: 20.6 P/40, 5.0 A/40, 5.4 FTA/40, 18.5 PER, 43.6 FG% - Summary of 2005: 20.1 P/40, 5.1 A/40, 5.8 FTA/40, 17.6 PER, 43.1 FG% It didn't do anything because it was a non-factor in the league. In fact, the top perimeter players did a bit worse after it was removed. Handchecking was just an annoyance and as a crutch for tired or lazy defenders. It was never a serious tactic and was already made obsolete by the much more efficient zone defense.
Clippers haven't beaten the Warriors once this season. I love Chuck but the only team that could possibly knock off the Warriors are the Spurs. No one else is even in the discussion.
OKC? Warriors would have lost if it wasn't for KD tapping Curry in the back in OT. Or if KD didn't throw the ball away. Postseason is way different than the Regular season. No matter what team they face in the WCF they will go to 7 games. The first round they probably will lose 1 game to the Rockets and the Clippers will get ATLEAST 2. They haven't faced a good team in the Playoffs in 2yrs and everyone is Riding them so hard. I'm expecting them to win the chip but everyone acting like there bout to annihilate everyone in the playoffs.
The league is does seam easier and not exciting with some exception for some teams coming from someone that been watching for a while , i still team the Miami big 4 , 2009-2010 lakers/ Celtics would beat the Warriors as they were more physical and Kobe in his prime would destroy curry in his prime
1:47 - "If they win the championship, I will get on my knees and congratulate the Golden State Warriors, but I do not believe they're going to beat these teams." - Chuck Barkley I like Chuck. Chuck was a great player. Chuck is just as good, if not better, on the TNT set. Chuck may need to buy knee pads.
of course GSW would beat the Bulls ... Bulls have too many offensive non-factors and the game is just better 20 years later... this hand-checking thing is blown so much out of proportion, Curry has incredibly ball handling ability and teams back then would just not be used to the onslaught of 3 pointers that would be coming their way ... who is Kerr gonna guard? Warriors would completely ignore Rodman on offense, same with Harper etc cummon guys, in 2036 the game will be better than 2016 .. why? because that what happens over time
+Sean Borg on the offensive end, the bulls can match any team w/ jordan pippen kukoc and kerr, what you didn't put to consideration is the defensive end, bulls had best wingmen w. jordan and pippen.. down below rodman led in rebounding in the era of davidson, ewing, mourning, mutombo, a young shaq and he got to guard the 7 footers rik smits and george murisan and contain them.. who does GSW have to contain rodman, they don't even have a true center (like 80's and 90's era big man).. rodman will clean the boards and it will be like watching him match up against kindergarten kids down under.. bulls played on both ends of the court, GSW offense is its only weapon.. bull's win this one, rodman is the deciding factor
+Sean Borg Nah, GSW would not be as good in the 90s. How is hand-checking not a factor? They literally push you out of your comfort zone. You wanna drive to your hotspot but you get pushed by a hand so it either takes you a longer time off the shotclock or you take a lot of energy to force your way to the hotspot. And once you get there? You can't rise effortless without obstruction. A hand might just be at your hip as you rise and you know a small tap can catch a shooter off rhythm. Add on to the fact that there's also trash-talking allowed in the 90s with no techs given. MJ would be in 'nice-guy' Curry's ears all day. There's no way Curry wouldn't be mentally roasted. You are the one who's underrating the 90s' basketball.
Bulls vs GSW '96 rules Bulls win Bulls vs GSW 2016 rules Bulls will still win imagine a no--hand check rule on MJ, MJ averaged 32.7 pts and 2 steals per game on a hand check more physical era.. putting a no-hand check rule on jordan would rocket his average to 50 pts per game
Rodman would have to defend the 3pt 22ft line, yes, they reverted the 3pt line 1ft closer for 1994-97 seasons then moved it back to 23ft during the 97-98 season and stayed ever since. GSW only has to worry about Pippen & Jordan, and they are not going to stop Jordan, but that's probably what they want. They want Jordan to take 30 shots or more. He'll wear himself down with the speed to catch up to GSW.
People just over hyped on GS and Curry. He is a great player but not the best player. GS is so dependent on their 3's. Yes they may have break the Chicago's record but they ain't that great. Bull is just so entertaining to watch especially MJ.
@Lucas Rodriguez i didn't say they're are not great, i said they are "not that" great. and you say nobody ever beat them? What about their 3 losses. In my opinion GS wont go near Chicago Bulls when it comes to great plays, and MJ and the rest of Bulls for me is > than Curry and he's squad. i just find GS so overrated.
12341234solo dude it's more possessions now. The game has sped up because of guard play. Guards speed the game up and with the small ball teams like the warriors play, that equals more possessions nowadays. In the early 80s it was really fast, but it slowed down around the late 80s-early 90s. but since the MJ era, it's sped up in the past decade. MJ would have more possessions and with his talent and skill, no one could stop him because of the hand checking rules.
No it's not go look at the possessions per game per year you will see zone is harder to score on they averaged more points back then not shooting as many threes that should tell you something plus watch it horrible d then
+12341234solo www.quora.com/Why-are-90s-NBA-games-so-much-slower-than-todays www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/possessions-per-game?date=2016-04-17 look at the second link. it only goes back to the past decade, you can clearly see that possession rates are going up. and team that is usually in the top 10 is golden state. I'm just saying, the numbers show it you can see it in the games.
Griffin and D Andre aren't dominating big men. Heck they aren't even the best big men in the league right now. That title belongs to Gasol & Randolph. Blake plays like a SF and Jordan only scores from dunks. Add to that they still haven't fill the hole in the PF position. I think OKC are better equipped with the big men to beat GSW compared to the Clippers. The problem with OKC is their indisciplined defence and tendency to go ISO that allows the opposite defence to set themselves up.
the point is, no team has had 70+ wins in a season since those Bulls. the roles changes havnt allowed anyone to do what the Warriors do, so why bring up rules like it matters? I could see if these Warriors pulled off 73 right after the rule change. then you could say well it's because of the rule changes. but they didn't. 2 decades it took to tie the record. 15 years + with different rules. and only one team has done what those Bulls did. the rules may help, but it is in no way the defining factor.
+Al El They are saying the Warriors took advantage of these rules to its OPTIMUM and pull off a record, which is correct. Nobody thought about building a full jumpshooting team before this. Everyone went with the traditional 2 bigs, 3 smalls line-up while only changing the systems and pace of the game. The Warriors took advantage of how defense can't touch them and threw out a jumpshooting team, so they did take advantage of these rules. Steve Kerr won't be thinking bout creating a jumpshooting team if there's still handchecking cause handchecking would get soft jumpshooters off rhythm with their shots.
You think it took 20 years for a "jump shooting team" to emerge in the NBA? Where did the old adage "jump shooting teams don't win championships" come from then? the only difference is the talent level
Al El What other jumpshooting teams are there? Only one I think of is Nash's Phoenix Suns but that system is full of holes. They play ZERO defense and also at a pace that's unrealistic. 'Shoot the ball before 7 seconds?' How the fk is that beneficial? You're just trying your luck. There's no offensive rebounds to get cause your big men haven't even reach the half-court yet.
Al El You said the rule change is not a factor to why this GSW team is so good because it took 20 years for the NBA to produce a team this good. I simply disagreed and stood by the TNT panel that the rule change is the main factor why these GSW team is this great. Because they took all the little flaws of these new rules, create a team that specifically attacks these flaws (jumpshot and fast-paced) and took advantage of it.
+Aznoz Jimm you are a prisoner of the moment, Dellavadova locked up curry for 3 games last year... Jordan was a defensive player of the year he would give curry a hard time.. Scottie Pippen was a great defender too so he would lock up Thompson and Rodman would match draymond green.
clippers can guard the warriors but they can't put up points.. only two teams that have a shot are spurs and maybe bulls ... but bulls aren't getting pass cavs
charles barkley is crazy to think that the clippers would beat the warriors in the playoffs. assuming they meet each other in the 2nd round. the warriors have beaten the clippers everytime this season and have shown no improvements at all from their team. warriors would win that series in 5 or 6 games
+sokit2em Warriors are favorites, but Charles is right. There's a POSSIBILITY that Clippers can pull off an upset. Warriors have no big men to stop DeAndre and Blake THEORETICALLY. If these two are on top of their game, they would roast the inside. And Blake was away for a large part of the season, so what kind of improvement do you expect?
warriors beat them twice in the beginning of the season when griffin was fully healthy. also i tried typing out all the improvement and development ive seen between the 2 teams and key players in detail but it was getting way too long to read just for a youtube comment lol
sokit2em Watch Chris Paul turn his game up in the playoffs. As much as Curry wants another ring, he already got 1. There are great players in this league who are ABSOLUTELY HUNGRY for their first ring (Durant, CP3, Westbrook) and would go all out to get it. Their performances will be amped up for the playoffs. You can use regular season records all you want, that's all I'm sayin'.
lmao how does chuck believe that blake and deandre can beat gs? Blake ain't got no post game, like deandre, all he does it take jump shots really and clog the floor. deandre might be a good rebounder and "offensive" dunker, but that's all he is. dude is a liability on the free throw line and defender.
he isn't going to be when steph curry gonna leave him on the island. gs plays small and can outrun and gun deandre and blake. He isn't going to be an elite defender against gs ill tell you that.
+spaveevo Nope. It's quite possible. OKC threw 2 games to GSW which could have gone either way. In a 7-game series, there's new factors that we don't see in the regular season. Playing the same opponent 4 to 7 straight games. Opponents might adapt to your movements and shooting etc. and can guard you better as the series goes on. Or getting cold a few of those games because, let's face it, as great a shooter Steph and Klay are, shooting is the easiest thing to get cold in the game of basketball. It's a very volatile form of scoring. And to face a team like Spurs 7 straight games with intense defense? I'd say they would go cold a few of those games.
But OKC chokes away games on the regular. You're saying they "gave away 2 games" but what's they do! That's who they are! They can't finish games, it's been this way for years. They have the most blown 4th qtr leads in the NBA for a reason, and bad habits typically don't just up and disappear in the playoffs. GSW would beat them in 5, Spurs maybe in 7
Dev D It also shows that the games are actually close and not GSW blowouts. If the OKC get to choke, it means that the games are close. So, if somehow, OKC had some immense luck in those 2 50-50 games instead of GSW, they could win 2 and we'll go from there. People think regular season games don't count and GSW will turn it even higher up for the playoffs. Sure, Curry looks thirsty for another ring, but someone else doesn't even have 1 ring and should be thirstier. That's Durant and Westbrook. Durant's gonna go all out for his 1st ring cause you can tell he wants it.
+Carlos Reyes Skip is just for show, he cannot be this stupid. And I am tired of them bringing in females just for eye candy that add nothing to the show.
