Thank you very much. Very good video. I had it all figured out except the plastic piece on the air dam. Yes it was a little scary to get off. But I did get it off. Thanks again for the help
Great video! You are definitely brave sir!!!! Me and vehicle plastics have a bad history with snapping tabs off :) I hope i never have to remove the front fairing on mine but now I know where to go to get the guide!
Excellent video and very helpful. Thanks brother. I will be referencing this video to remove my fairing for a video and I will be sure to mention you. 👍🏾
Awesome! I will be tuning in for sure, I have appreciated your channel from the beginning! You have inspired so many to be better skilled riders, thank you!
Based on what I’ve seen in the parts catalog, I believe the module mounted between the headlight and the Fosgate amp is the garage door opener module. Great video! I just brought home a 24 road glide and I was curious as to what this looked like.
Big 🏀⚽️🏈 Tom, so much could have gone wrong. I was looking at Sights for an Sig Sauer today, Visteon was 1 of the top recommendations. They are one of the first sight manufacturers for handguns.
Great video. Very informative. I don't like that top piece at all. It's nice that the fairing speakers can come out thru the speaker openings. I just did the hertz upgrade with volunteer audio. Im so happy that was so easy.
Yes for sure it makes for an easy speaker upgrade. Its really the same effort to remove the upper fairing as the old bikes but I think it could be a little more refined in its fitment. Congrats on the new Hertz speakers! On my list as well!
If you go for the hertz speakers, look into volunteer audio. He makes a small mod on the rear speakers to make it an easy install. Keep em coming. I love your videos. Stuart.
There is much less wiring because of Can Bus technology, definitely multiplexing going on. No argument that every part inside that fairing is big bucks. I come from the automotive industry and what you are seeing is not new, thanks to the Robert Bosch Co. Excellent report and video about what’s behind the fairing. In fact I would guess that much of the 35 lbs of weight reduction is due to the reduction of copper wiring throughout the motorcycle. Thank you for your report!
Yes, I would agree. The bike is noticeably lighter all around. I think we are seeing a lot of Brad Richard's influence as he came from Ford I believe. As long as it proves to be reliable it's a big advancement and win! Thank you for your insight!
No I don’t think this would be practical. You would really need the inner fairing and then would have to come up with custom mounts that were durable and safe. Wonk’t be long before these fairings are on all of the touring models!
There is no connector for it in the new infotainment system. No support for XM in these new bikes that I have been able to find, other than streaming from your phone.
There is only one amp and it is the RockFord Fosgate box in the middle of the fairing. If the amp is not working at all I would pull the main fuse and let it sit for a minute and see if that resets it. I would also apply the latest firmware update, see my video on this.
