In my working life, as a CEO, I was a BCG client. Now, retired, I am a street photographer. I congratulate the firm on this insightful way to recognize this milestone and in particular retaining Magnum to capture the images that point the way to our future.
Lens caps?, zoom lenses?, digital cameras?, micro 4/3rds format? Something has gone wrong here! I wanted to see film camera, Leicas, medium format, film, angst, Sunny 16 metering even. I don't know whether to be relieved or disgusted and disappointed.
id say forget how the picture is made, the materialistic attachment to how photographs are taken only holds photography back, shoot film great shoot digital great. The thematic quality of the work is what should really be important. Most of these photographers probably couldn't care less what camera they use.
You shouldnt worry on the tool but on the sujets. Thats how you make images. Techheads are generally focusing on the wrong aspects of imagery. Free your mind.
