You can't even see the houses in the richest areas in Nairobi while walking around. There aren't many cars moving inside the estates, no shops and security guards are everywhere. Lavington is just an upper-middle-class area. Visit Karen, Runda, Muthaiga, Ktsuru and see the difference in what I'm saying.

In the yester years Lavington was ranked as one of the richest neighbourhoods. Recent developments in Nairobi over the last 20 years have made it lose its lustre to now an upper middle class estate. You should do a tour of Nairobi's malls, Upperhill and Westlands business district tours as well as a restaurant tour.

Lavington is not where the rich lives in Nairobi. In Nairobi, the rich lives in Caren, Muthaiga and Runda etc; not riverside, not Lavington, not Kileleshwa, not Kilimani; Mwakazi is misleading you.
