Inside the Studio of Rachel Davies Mosaics - Art Inspired by Nature 

Watch as I make a mosaic inspired by some lichen. For this mosaic I filled some shells with pieces of filati (glass stringers) and then used tile adhesive/thinset to set them onto the board, along with some slate and glass pieces.
The mosaic was created as part of an art challenge to create a series of small mosaics inspired by images from nature. The mosaic measures 2.5x3.5 inches.
