We "make law", we "don't really" pay attention to public opinion. This sounds like the JV judiciary

The guidelines, rules and law of the Supreme Court of Canada allow entirely self-represented applicants to seek leave to appeal. But has any self-represented applicant ever been granted leave to appeal or won an appeal?

Have you ever stopped to consider that the vast, vast majority of self-represented applicants are pretentious morons that have absolutely no idea what they're doing?

@@jarvisstewart Sorry to hear that. Common though, in my experience. Happened to me too. My application to extend was granted but my application to appeal was denied.

The role of all legal professionals seems more balanced to insurers interest rather than public. Lawpro seems to treat our legal sectors like a private club with draconian laws, and a deeply toxic workplace culture (Ie, prolonging genocide and other forms of discrimination, largely based on hubris?

Good video but I don't agree with Gascon when he said the courts are the leaders in the country in terms of the making of laws. Parliament makes the laws. The courts interpret them.

Caselaw is made by courts in common law systems. Caselaw is not a simple intepretation of statutes.

I love the way these people have no problem ruining someone's life to protect us from there victimless crimes. Disgusting and reprehensible.

As soon as I hear justice and court in the same sentence I laughed. If you have been through the system you know justice is not what court's are about.
