The bubble is gonna stay whole as long as there is quantitative easing and zero interest rates. It's gonna be interesing once they stop.

basically the majority of the internet are this type of venture capital, when this bubble burst this platforms (twitter, 4chan, possible even youtube and many others) will suffer and even close, and the thing is many people depends of this platforms for the day to day jobs

Why will it affect youtube? I mean, youtube has been the part of the big company (Google) for ages. And if this acquisition didn't happen, RU-vid would be dead a year or so after its beta. Also, there's no point for Google to liquidate RU-vid. But if you are talking about people making money via youtube... Maybe, yes. Most likely, no. People will always need some free and fresh entertainment. And as long as Google pays all the bills, which it will do, everybody will be well and happy.

Google, Facebook, Apple are not good examples for startups. They are more of exception. But an excellent speech about the truth.

Hasn't the employee pretty much always been screwed though, especially the start of their career-journey? This goes back to the origins of Ancient Rome and the Plebian soliders where a somewhat similiar situation occured... I see the evil in it, of course, but surely you only need to learn the lesson once (and if the jobs are short-term anyway then this is more plausible) and then take the experience learnt and apply it elsewhere with more strategy and diligence. - Likely eventually into self-employment where you have more control over your disposability. The higher turnover and more movement between companies can also be seen as a positive as it allows you to become more agile and adaptable with your skills.

I wonder if this is totally true, because this is not what it's like on the development side. Maybe all the others jobs work and hire this way. Maybe all of the other BS work this way. what I do know is age stuff, that's real, but beer thing...

I hate it when these talks employ production staff who can't correctly mix audio and properly place their cameras. Furthermore, the audience must understand that they aren't the guest speaker. Don't give speeches. Ask actual questions.
