When pronouncing words in Nahuatl, the l is silent. Example: in english they spell it "Quetzalcoatl" we write it Ketzalcoatl, it is pronounced "ket-zal-Ko-oT" the T is hard stop. The l is silent. Xochi = Sho-chi. Tepetl = te-peT.
They took pretty much everything ..... cholula is the the oldest town on America and it has around 300 pyramids when Spanish arrived ( some like this one already abandoned long time ago) and they destroyed them and built churches... now chulula has around 300 churches... they didn't destroyed this one because it was abandoned already and looks like a regular mountain
Cholula is Amazing! For a moment, looking at the oldest structure shown near the end of the video, I could imagine how beautiful it was when new. It would have been Breath taking! It still is 12,000 years after the original build. Thank you so much for this. I'm going looking for more information on the site.
Thank you for showing me through your eyes the things I’ll never get the chance of seeing myself. I’ve loved this series, the history is something we all need to make our own minds up about, but the sights have been outstanding.
Brien Foerster has dome a lot of work, uncovering and publishing mountains of amazing facts about our planet's ancient past! I cannot thank him enough.
Mr Foerster . you are really and truly natural discoverer of the world, unbelievable footage! How such complex pyramid was build with such tunnels , this would basically an alien architect with multiples degrees of engineering of buildings.
Thank you so much, Brien, for bringing us through the tunnels! Awesome! Is that a Foster's beer can in the stairwell? I can't wait to travel halfway around the Earth just to litter some ancient monument. Seriously folks...carry in, carry out. Put on your adult pants when in public. (Typo edit).
THANK YOU SO MUCH GOOD SIR! AMAZING VIDEO LIKE ALWAYS! YOU DO SUCH A GOOD THING BY MAKING THESE VIDEOS! SO MANY OF US THAT WATCH MAY NEVER GET TO TRAVEL TO THESE PLACES IN PERSON! (For lots of different reasons) SO WE CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR BRINGING THESE AMAZING PLACES TO US! YOU ARE A GOOD MAN! DOING A GOOD THING! THANK YOU SIR! BIG D (Northern Cali)
Love your very fascinating work! It's always an experience to watch your videos. I wonder what this Pyramid would look like without all the trees and such growing on top of it.
The native people of mexico didn't build them. They arrived AFTER the megalithic stuff was built. Look around at your people now. Do you think they would be capable of the craftsmanship, ingenuity and skill required to build the megalithic monuments? You know the answer. Groups of people have always moved and relocated all over the surface of the earth. Just like the current Turkish people who are actually from Mongolia.
@@JohnSmith-wo2fz u know about the Aztec civilization?? When Spanish arrived their city was magical and full or pyramids and drinking water, Schools, governments just like any other cities but with different thinks and knowledge
Thank you for the great video and the interesting work you do I live in Arizona and been noticing a lot of pyramid shaped mountains sets of three pyramids with the proper angle. I think pyramids exist all over the planet
WOW!. Walking INSIDE a Pyramid. Fantastic. I have climbed Mayan structures all over Mexico, Belize and Guatemala but am impressed by you tunnels. I noticed the used of the MAYAN ARCH all through the tunnel roofs and entrances. Larry Anderson
Regardless of *when* or *why* these amazing projects were realized... just imagining the will and cooperation over such a long period of time to complete this.. whether be it a single "race" or "culture" or over generations of inhabitants from near and/or afar... that, I think, is what awestrucks me the most to conceptualize -- especially in our modern day of *social* networks and smartphone addiction.
Once again, the earliest construction is the grandest and most precise. Once again mainstream is guestimating age of structure. My guess would be about 10,000BC and then just like all of the other massive megalithic structures worldwide, destroyed and buried by cataclysm.
I was there in 1998 or 99. Air quality was fine. I don't remember any oversize rooms, mostly narrow tunnels and lots of stairways with locked grates in front.
Hey Brien! With that church on top of the pyramid, did any of it get damaged by the building of the church!? Thanks for another great vid! Cheers from Aus! ;D
Your suffer from Bigotry Indocturnation Before Legit Evidence or "Live-Stockholm Syndrome' of Ethnic Cleansing Invader's whom Came from Europe to Steal your People's GOLD and Ethnic Cleanse your People into Shleep Walking Shleeple... Sad, seriously sad your Love your Oppressor's. You can be Better and Purer! You should also know, Cuba Pyramid's are several thousand Year's older the Giza Plato. As a Scottish, my people had the same thing happen, I figured out, Don't love, respect or Slave for them, that would Rob, Rape and Destroy your Ancestor's! Or Coward, might be YOU!
@bla jones then don't open it to public tourism just to bleed money into the economy. If the purpose is to protect the site they should publicize their findings and research. Protection from mass public is no reason to mask the truth.
Brien, love your presentations. Would love to join one of your tours some day, butdon't have the wherewithal, so have to live vicariously through your videos... I'm going away from the topic of this vid to pose a question to you simply because it's your newest post. I have a question regarding Puma Punku and Tiwanaku -- has anyone dated the MUD that covers those two sites, especially the the 2 meters or so covering Tiwanaku? Surely there must be layering and or some organic material entombed in that mud, especially the lower layers, that could definitively date, if not the age of the stone structures, at least the date of the mud deposit, and therefore the time of destruction. Thanks in advance if you read and answer this. Dave
Almost immediately after I posed that question, I watched an "Ancient Astronaut Archive" video where they said that archeologists had dated the mud at Puma Puku somewhere around 700 or 800 AD, but that was only from the shallow 2 foot depth I have heard you wonder about. Seems like that might be your answer to why they never dug deeper -- to whit: they found what they needed to "verify" "accepted wisdom", and stopped, afraid to go any deeper, thus explaining their curt answers to you.
Its amazing how these ancient peoples all over the world had the ability to work together and build these wonderful stone constructions . its a shame that modern man doesn't seem to have the ability to work together in the same way ... Or maybe I am Wrong Maybe our greatest modern constructions could be Our Roads and bridges Cars And ships Planes , All things that are made for PROFIT ...
@Tim OB I don't care if the town is small, what religion they are or if their god is a frog. That "egyptologist" you mentioned is the biggest fraud in history. I believe that there is a lot of evidence and it is worth to take a look, so I'll go there and take a look myself.
Well...now...campers...that’s a well kept secret isn’t it??? Amazing🤔🤔🤔👍👍👍. People in the US would rather go to Graceland or the Grand Ole Opera???? This is fascinating Brien! Thanks👍👍👍 wonder what is was used for???
06:44 How is it that Mayan construction looks less precise then Olmec or older, yet the Olmec head statue features are far less superior then those of the Maya iconography?
WRT the blocked off tunnels, I would think you might have trouble at the end of the day finding and clearing out all the tourists lost inside if the path wasn't restricted to a linear route.
@@DadaPoopoo You're welcome, Dada. 🙂 I had to Google it for you. 😄 Whenever you don't know what an acronym | urban-slang letters stand for, simply type the letters into Google's search box. 👍
Were the original tunnels discovered with the arched ceilings or was the arched ceilings added to the original tunnels when they were being excavated? If they were original to the tunnels, then whoever originally dug them knew the arch would strengthen them. So that tells you that either they were pretty intelligent. Makes you wonder if they were already that intelligent or did someone teach them about the arch?
