Exactly, for 90% of the time it's a big hangar where they take delivery of a rocket which is built elsewhere, carefully load it onto the wing of an old 747 provided by Virgin, plane takes off and launches payload somewhere over the Atlantic and bingo you have a Spaceport! Lots of hype for Cornwall I suspect. Maybe a touch of the 'Emperors new clothes' about it?

Depends on the kind of orbit you want the satellite to end up in. The UK is pretty well placed for polar orbits.

Well. Europe already have had two for decades when UK open opened this. One in French Guyana under ESA and one in Kiruna.

NASA are experimenting with rocket payloads designed to clear debris already in orbit. Most debris in LEO will eventually re-enter our atmosphere, however the big issue is objects in higher orbits.

It was in the Gerry terminal hence port it was quite good for the first couple of years then they put the wrong staff in and stop the spend

@@shivaanshsharma9175 Buying cheap oil and gas from Putin/Russia meaning they are enabling Putin/Russia to continue to try and remove Ukraine and Ukrainians from the face of the earth [generally called genocide] while selling weapons to Ukraine and making money sounds like something the rapacious US military armaments industry would do, saving money on one hand while ensuring a ready market for their products on the other [by Ukraine]. The UK has supported Ukraine from the outset - unlike many other countries including my own - and have provided weapons and training for their military for years now. Going behind their backs and supporting Putin/Russia by buying cheap oil and gas [which has already nearly returned to pre-war prices in many cases, any inflation is due to the companies selling the gas to the UK/wherever rather than Putin] while claiming to be helping Ukraine to win is both nasty and underhanded, not something the UK does [they weren't the ones supplying vital things to the enemy in the early 1940s while claiming to be fighting against them either]. And I suspect many in the country would object to this as well. They are well aware that once Ukraine is gone the next countries to be taken over are all in Europe [and NATO members so then they really would be at war] and as Putin has already shown maps showing how far his putative ''empire'' will stretch [right across Europe including Ireland, UK, France] I don't really see them supporting Putin financially while claiming to be against him. And yes, I'm well aware that Germany and France have been although I believe Germany is stopping this now, France I don't know about.
