Wow thankyou so much for sharing this I have become more intreged by volcanoes in the past 3 years and watch iceland every day from the comfort of my home in uk , as I have a lung disease it is impossible for me to be able to follow one of my dreams which is to do exactly this so you have brought the vision as breath takingly as you have to my eyes so from the heart I thankyou xxx
Wow! What an experience! Do you remember what the temperature was inside at the bottom? Did geologists explain more about the structures or where the magma came from or went to? Have there been tunnels or tubes down there? I'd love to see all this and make my own experiences. I followed all the recent eruptions in Iceland on livestreams, Shawn Willsey's explanations, Isak Finnbogason's drone footage.... I'd love to hear what Shawn Willsey thinks about this location! Hi, it was quite cold- around 10°C I think. It was quite dark so hard to see everything. Our guide was very good and answered any questions. I recommend the experience. The hike to the volcano from the parking area was a little strenuous but manageable - I am a fairly fit 70 yr old!
You can check their website insidethevolcano.com but it looks like 47000 ISK for one adult at the moment. Its not cheap but it was a once in a lifetime experience

If somebody does a livestream with live chat, there's a symbol at the end of your comment line "$". If you click it, you can make a donation to the channel (prices are usually shown) with choosing a special colour or sign or symbol to stress your comment. Huge channels with lots of subscribers offer memberships based on a monthly payment for support. Usually there's some content there only for members.
