^that’s incredibly ignorant and obviously not true. Child labor exists in China, but it’s not very widespread and occurs more so in rural areas. There is no shortage legal working aged adults in China. You’re conflating something that is a problem in some countries in Asia with all of Asia
@@KevinTheStallion637lol …I assume this is a joke … but I couldn’t help thinking this video was a staged ,under possible duress ,situation too… no normal staff wears the company logo t shirt to work in the office if they have a choice , and all laughing and smiling around a conference table seems suspect to me too… very over produced for a knife company too for some reason …also the guy freehand drawing a knife , looking very intently , idk but is that normal for designing a knife ? Maybe I’m over suspicious but it seems very staged too to bottom
Thanks for posting this. It's really cool to get an inside view of your processes. I respect the fact that WE continues to innovate and listen to its customers.
I love factory tours, and this one looks so clean and organized. Please make a longer in depth video! WE has been my favorite manufacturer for years. From simple but sleek user knives to crazy high end art knives and everything in between, all with some of the best quality control out there.
I just bought 2 Attors. What a masterpiece. I also bought 1 of your burple first integerals one of 150. Cant remember the number of rgat knife, but wow have you upped your game! Attor is your best work yet in my opinion. Definitely made better through constant improvement!
In the last five years, nobody has been quite as consistent as Civivi in the budget realm. I’ve never owned a We (or a even sencut) but I own Civivis from the old model Incites (which are the best budget knives I’ve ever held, period) to the odium, praxis and vision…they’re all fantastic to the extent that a lot of the people in my life who don’t feel like dropping $200 on a Spyderco do just fine with them as their primary pocket knives. Don’t ever abandon your 9cr, Civivi…it’s in the running for “best budget steel of all time”, imo.
This is a massive surprise,, I thought everything was out sourced, to tiny backroom manufacturing..!! The photos I received during the ongoing build of my Massdrop Thresher, a couple of years ago, looked like the knives were made in someone's shed, !! So this is a big revelation, to see a high tech manufacturing process.. I'm not knocking my beautiful Gavco /WE knife,, it is absolutely superb, it's just that all this time, I thought the individual parts, were made by some guys in their very tiny workshops , and then the parts were assembled, and the completed knives shipped out to Massdrop.. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a WE knife, both before, and after, seeing this video.. 😁👍
It's good to see a CEO that not only stands behind his products, but stands in front of them, as the recognizable face of We/Civivi/Sencut. I have quite a few knives, but for everyday carry, I almost always reach for one of my Civivi/Sencut knives (my wood scale Sencut Honoris , and Actium , are in my pockets right now.) A couple of things that keep me buying your products, are , primarily, the great designs, the options in scales and steels, (especially the quality damascus) , for those designs , and the handy size/weight of the knives. The price and materials, with the consistently excellent quality and action, make them my first choice.
Thanks for sharing amigo Joe 👍. It’s no secret we all love the WE and civivi knives . More hidden liner knives please like the Sokoke . I just think it’s a great look. I also think you design some sweet knives . 👍. Good job all WE employees .the care you take shows
impresive. I have many civivi and sencut knives, quality is always at the top level. Only recently I am little anoyed with recent overcomplicated designs that we/civivi make, I wish for some simple, buscraft knives to be made (wirh scandi grind perhaps, not hollow grind like on elementum fixed). I dont like those complex multi ground blades....
I love WE/Civivi knives, you guys are changing the misconception that things made in China are inferior. If we can get an actual factory tour, that would be amazing.
Great knives...all the way down to the sencut line. I'm glad to see how China has stepped up the quality of knives over the last 20 years. Well done. Cheers from America
I have acquired 3 or 4 WE/CIVI knives........despite my personal "buy American" policy. They are good knives at reasonable prices. I will probably buy more of them.
So that’s the WE knife line. Very impressive. I wonder how much hand finishing goes into the Civivi line? So much cheaper and more mass produced. I only have Civivi but they impress me. Wish they were made in the US frankly but at least they work with worldwide designers instead of knocking off designs.
I dont care about hand work, end result is what I count. I'd prefer symetrical grind from civivi, rather than screwed grind from bark river, when same materials are used.
My experience with we/civivi is qc has been better than usa knives particularly the butterfly logo qc which says they are premium but don't seem like it.
Clean and modern facility using precision processes. It's good to see this. While such videos are nice to see I agree with others. A more in-depth video would be most helpful and show potential buyers even more how much time and effort go into making We, Civivi, and Sencut knives. It's also nice to see the hints of professionalism and pride in the product.
Although I’m not a huge fan of WE knives, I do respect them. Civivi makes better styles imo. Sencut has been doing well too. Kinda want the new mims model
Whenever any company does a video like this they always clean and give everyone a t shirt to wear. Then they tell everyone to look like they are working hard or whatever and they get some good video. It's not fully represented of what actually goes on. Some companies also hire just for videos. It looks like most of the staff in this video are actually employees though.
I wouldn’t buy another WE knife again. I had bought the synergy and the tip kept breaking 360 bucks down the drain. Pawnshop took it for 20.00 credit on a trade for a kancept bulldozer
No, it would not. The work itself may be enjoyable, but if you are from a place like the USA or Europe the living arrangements and wages you earned as a factory laborer would humble you.
This video is more important than you might realize WE. The West is starting to care about the workers again! And seeing working conditions is incredebly important for Western customers of chinese products! And knowing your factory is up to specc is important!
