Yes I am sure it can be. There are lots of test point pads on the board near the control unit.

I took the guts from a micro RC tank to make several mini Johny 5 robots, but I did not place the guts in a B9 robot. I have motorized several of the 1980's windup B9 robots, the little ones, but they had wheels. The cost of buying a good B9 robot to mod kind of makes it better to just 3d print the project.

I think your right Rick. They must have spent some time tuning it to the design shell I am sure. What I really want to play with is a re action wheel balance system as they do not move back and forth when they balance. I have a Arduino nano and gyro unit on order and will play around with it at some point.

@@rick_100 I have spent most my time with the Pololu mystro boards and have built 100s of programed servo robots over the years, but I have not programed a Arduino yet. So it could be a challenge for sure.

@@Robothut The Arduino environment makes it a little easier but it's still a steep learning curve. You can usually find a library to help with interfacing to common devices. The libraries can be very helpful but it's also another layer of abstraction. Your best bet is to start with the basics like blinking an led and printing to the serial port. I've had good success using ChatGPT to help write Python programs. It's probably pretty good with Arduino C++ code since there is a lot of code online for it to have learned on. Good luck.

Yes, it was originally a $68 buck robot or more depending on where you bought it. Looks like they are clearing out the old stock.
