@NickShirley 8/5/24. You are The BEST. Thanks 4 this Video. Nick Share this Video w/our Next President Trump 😊 & show him how THEY DID IT. L🔴VE YOUR WORK. 👊🏽 👊🏽 👊🏽
Congratulations Nick! I saw you again FOX. That was an amazing piece on EL Salvador’s prison. I hope you get a very big security man to start accompanying you on your dangerous journeys.😉
Who would've ever thought that holding gang members accountable would actually be beneficial for society? It's nice to see the people are able to live in much better conditions now that the riff raff is being cleaned up. Great job Nick.
@@davidc3943Where do you think all the gang members are fleeing too? They know the US will not only allow them in, they’ll fly them where they want to go.

That is not true. Net migration rate in 2023 was -7.01 per 1.000 population. The country still has A LOT of issues and crime is still one of them, but there might be hope in the future.

So many constitutional violations. Allowing the government search your house anytime they want without a warrant is not normal. Governments allow such crime to get out of hand specifically so they can take away the rights of their citizens like this.
@@chachis-censoredare you dumb? Where were you when the government were making bribes and deals with the gangs? They were violating the codes and betraying their citizens. A corrupt government under the countrol of the gangs. The government needed to be reconstructed because it was corrupt and what was the point of putting these gangs on trial under the same government and system that was working with the gangs? It was an immediate emergency to get rid of all the gangs as fast as possible or else people would be dying left and right. We ain’t gonna wait 10 years just for 1 criminal to get 2 years in prison. Heck no. This was necessary in order to save the lives of the citizens. These gangs were threatening genocides so bukele had to no choice but to defy the system. He put his people first.
@@chachis-censored This is not something they will keep doing think of martial law. You don't understand how bad these gangs ran the country. They are crushing the rest of them like rats....
My dad just retired back to his home country of el salvador after being in the US for 40 yrs. Things are beautiful and safe there. Just came from my 2 week vacation there. Felt safe and loved everything about it! Going back next year! 🇸🇻🇸🇻🇸🇻
Looks like a Beautiful country - Mountains, jungle - have any beaches, places with good waves you can bodyboard or surf ? Any golf Courses ? If not, then what an opportunity.. Anyways: f I visit El Salvador, how much for a gram of good powder ? Is it possible to get 70% pure ? So, let’s say my wife and I going to stay Wednesday and fly out on Sunday or Monday night, we would want 1.5 oz, what would I expect to pay ? I wouldn’t risk bringing any back on plane. Would it be difficult or risky to score ?
I love seeing a ciuntry like El Salvador doing good! Amazing politicians letting you in with open hands. They seems so friendly and good hearted, much love from Norway! Good job el salvador
@@HeyItsPM The young are so ignorant on what unbiased and objective journalism really is. Not to mention he was probably paid by the government for this.
Calling this video ‘unbiased’ is outrageous but it is still interesting. However, I can see why he couldn’t be completely objective with covering this topic as he was invited by the government.
At least Salvadorian president Bukele is doing what he sworn to do. Clean up El Salvador after so many decades of war and gangs. Because of the president's action Salvadorian citizens and foreign tourists are traveling and vacationing in El Salvador.
Hate to break it to you but where I’m from El Salvador is seen as a place where they can arrest you without cause and hold you indefinitely, and not a safe travel destination for tourists

It will never happen in our litigious country. Criminals know this and exploit it to their benefit. Law abiding citizens are better off in El Salvador. This is why all of the South and Central American criminals are coming here.
I was Born & Raised in iLobasco El Salvador , and I was shot in my leg and got Visa through my mom because of it I was just 8 years old. I am living in Los Angeles now I am 30 years old. No lie I am grateful for the president makes me emotional because I lost a lot of family , friends before I left the country. May Allah bless everyone in that country and the rest of the world. Moved from one shithole without jobs to another shithole with jobs … basically depending on what street your on in LA it’s mini Salvador but with job opportunities… right?
@@mobmob5944 yea pretty much the whole world is a shithole just depends if you are happy with your own life and make the best out of that shit hole. hopefully your shit hole has better climate.
It's interesting. The gangs wrecked so much havoc that people willingly gave all of their freedoms to the government for safety. Curious to see how it all plays out.
@@davidc3943go watch his other video of how full the prisons are, please don’t speak from ignorance. Plus MS-13 began in the US and was taken to El Salvador, but no one will tell you that :)
I’m sure people will flock to a place where you got cops knocking on your door and coming into your house for random inspections. You should move there
I was born there live there untill I turn 15 I saw and lived through horrible things. Definitely affected me negatively you are force grow up extremely fast in country like El Salvador hopefully it has changed but I don’t think I can ever go back too many painful and scary memories.
Nick Shirley, you're doing an amazing job of reporting on the story of what's going on in El Salvador 🇸🇻 stay dry next time, my friend, and be safe also. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 👍 to you in El Salvador and America 🇺🇸 😊
It is important to realize those 'slums' are also those peoples' homes, and we should be respectful of them. And to try to carry our founding fathers' principles of 'innocent until proven guilty' when watching the heavy-handedness of going into peoples' homes like that. I do, of course, appreciate and respect very much what the President there has done though, by and large. And I appreciate your videos. 👍👍
Same. Parents were refugees and came to Canada in the 80’s. I’m 36 now and went to El Salvador in 2012 & 2014 and then again just two weeks ago. The difference is out of this world!! God is amazing.
As good as it is now, time will tell; We will either see a very safe society that can thrive, or the dissolution of democracy for a police state. I wish all our southern friends the best. Another clean and great video!
Wow...Nick Shirley actually went to El Salvador and was able to get all those interviews, etc. He's killing it with all the amazing coverage he's doing everywhere.
Respect to El Salvador. It may appear to be overly restrictive when you see police essentially arbitrarily enter homes or force males out of a bus to do random searches, but when your country has had such a severe history with gang affiliation, all of the actions you saw today was reasonable. The US should do something like this, but we won't because of our 4th amendment--which means a gov agent cannot impede upon our reasonable expectation of privacy without probable cause in most instances. Not that our 4th amendment is bad, its great; but when your country is crumbling, something needs to be done.
It's only a plane ticket away. Please go if you want safety over freedom. It's already the way you like there. Your scared here go there. Not force your sheep way on others. It's the same people gonna fix the problem that caused it. Right. Than why has it not worked? Stop being scared. Wake up.
What they did with the bus, the gang members used to do, except they’d give you a little beating and a few kicks, take your phone and cash then let you on your way. If you resisted they vanish you, like the guy who was sitting down and explaining the bus situation as well. Some people are too stupid to understand this.
You're making moves, my guy. I was just watching Fox News covering your visit to CECOT and now another upload 🙏🏻 Sincerely, brother. Stay safe. Please take precautions to ensure safety for you and your crew. We all appreciate your footage, but we don't want you to risk danger and possibly end up in a bad scenario 💯 God bless. iVaya con Dios!
Nick Shirley, well done! Much respect to you and your platform. Journalist across America take notice, this young man should be an example of how to report news.
@Nick Shirley I am so happy FOX News picked up part of your report inside the prison! Nick, you have done more to inform us on the border invasion (actually all your reports), than any News person on major channels. Congratulations Nick!!!
I think the biggest takeaway on top of the orders they've put in to clearing up the streets of El Salvador here is that the police are not corrupt, therefore the citizens are willing to cooperate with them because they know that as long as they're a law abiding citizen, they will be protected. A lot of even 1st world countries cannot say that they have a secure police system. This was incredible to see on the ground and your experience. Well done
@@twandamhof3517 as a salvadorean, i guarantee you these are not just "gang members". yes, certain circumstances lead you into the life, but the type of shit they would do was unthinkable. i couldn't even go to my grandmas funeral since commentaries were ms 13 headquarters and meeting grounds,.they knew when somebody from the US would fly there, would call of one of the family members, and threaten to kidnap and murder if they weren't paid hundreds to thousands of dollars for "permission" to access "their property" which was pretty much the entire country. in many cases, even if you did pay, they would extort you for more money when you got there, and even if you paid more money, they would still kill you (and if you were a woman, rape) just for the funsies. it's more of a satanic cult with rituals than it is a "gang". them and 18th street were rivals, so if you were shopping on a street owned by MS, then walked across the street to 18 territory you would be killed because you were in rival territory, even if you were a foreigner or weren't part of any gang in any way. its easy to talk shit when you never had to deal with these types of issues personally.
@@twandamhof3517 hate to say this but if its your family in this situation you would think differently. Imagine your children living in same neighbourhood with a lot of serial killer. Keep your empathy on the victim not the murderer
@@twandamhof3517hate to break it to you, but if a gang member is taking away multiple lives and continuing to harm others I think they lose their rights. If you were in that situation of gangs on your back all the time you’d want them gone. That’s what they’re doing
Very interesting videos you're uploading lately. Watching your videos from Denmark and seeing the state of the El Salvador is eye opening. Continue with the amazing work.
Oh my goodness! I hope you stay safe! You are very quickly on your way to becoming the best journalist in the country, if not the world! My only advice would be to watch those leading questions. Also, props to that first guy for doing his whole interview in English!
All by design. Intentionally impoverish natural resource rich countries by sanctions/war/dictator and then release them in G7 countries, pass laws to not enforce laws making big cities too expensive and too dangerous to live, take on unlimited sovereign debt along with uncontrolled federal spending and the result will be a developed country in revolution.
Going from door to door asking for papers - stopping bus full of dudes for looking "suspicious", checking their bodies for tattoos is what we need? I would do whatever it takes to not let that happen in Canada. Psychotic
