Kyiv is such a beautiful city! I've been there 3 times but I barely scratched the surface.. I hope to go back. Most importantly I hope this horrible war ends soon... Great video! Stay safe!
Great to see brother. Appreciate the video and it's such an interesting and unique dynamic there right now. Undoubtedly every Ukrainian has the utmost respect from all of us hey. Take it easy and lots of love to Ukraine 💪🏻🤌🏻
thank you Dany for showing Kyiv and with such positive attitude 🧡 just a tip: there is public transportation to the monument you showed in the end of the video - a bus - but I recommend just walking there from the Arsenalna metro station because it's a nice walk passing through modernism buildings, big parks, view points overlooking the river and the left bank of the city, tones of museums, and 1000 years old Lavra church (some of them you showed in the video btw). when the weather is nice (not hot and not windy) and if you are wearing appropriate shoes you can climb the shield of the Mortherland statue (which is btw even a bit taller than the statue of liberty).
Kiyv is so beautiful. I'm impressed by the number of well-built buildings. If one of the poorest countries in europe is like this, the wealthiest must be mind-blowing. European architecture is on another level, and it sets itself apart from any other country in the world
Hi Danny, Kyiv Ukraine is wonderful! The buildings that were made I believe in 18th century are architecturally designed, renaissance influenced, beautiful! Of course except those places that were destroyed by recent war. 😢 Thank you for sharing.
Dany thank you for this insight into the Ukraine today. It feels me with hope. I support the Ukraine and her peoples, your in my heart. I pray for your Victory, Democracy and freedom. I will be with you when Ukraine's victory's won and I can visit you all. God bless. Steve
Hi Dany , i follow Liza and i doesn't kow you have your own channel, now i follow you both guys )) what a nice video ! there is all the things i want to visit in Kyiv )) Слава Україні Героям слава 💛💙and take care of you, greetings from Belgium💪😎
beautiful Kiev, thanks for such details about Ukraine. my first time through your vlog, although I used to have a client from Kiev back in 2005, he sent me gifts and postcards back then. told me how beautiful it is. having a war is terrible. destroyed so many history of those buildings and human lives. we should stop the war, let all of us live in peace and harmony. looking forward to your next video!
@@olegmelnichuk-allen2723 oh my bad, my brain remembered old spelling then. Like I said first time watching vblog of your country, although I watched him couple of others about China and Hong Kong lol.
Dany Dev - Kyiv Ukraine war torn country where you come from,It’s a beautiful country in Europe ,good you make documentary vlog it’s amazing sensational story to tell the world we are watching the next.
@@Michael-wz9te Until recently, after you accepted the German citizenship, you had to give up any other citizenships. That's why he's probably not a Ukrainian citizen anymore.
Thought the general consensus was legally UA does not accept dual citizenship, a male is simply Ukrainian if they currently hold a UA passport. BUT in practice they do accept it and especially for public marketing and or promotion, It’s like anywhere globally, where the money flows the law goes.
Respekt, Dany!
Thank you for the Ukraine video, it's kind of funny when you left Shanghai, I thought I would love to see Ukraine and Russia now at wartime because of your background, here we are, you read my mind. lol
Since 2017 I was every year in Kyiv till war happens, dating scene back then was amazing😁 I think after war to buy a nice apartment in Kyiv, it’s a good idea❤
Thanks so much for bringing this to us. Whenever I hear that melody, I will now think of Ukraine and you two! Thanks so much for showing us around this Lovely country. I had visited Odessa before the full invasion and was planning to visit the year that Putler invaded. Sadness.... It is Great to see young people like you >Living< there. It is Great to see Liza back in her own country. I am not brave enough right now to come. I'd love to spend 6 mo there to see as much as I can (before the freeze sets in). With respect to "why" are locals still going to restaurants, etc.: I try to think of if as "what do you do if you are told that you have cancer that might kill you?" Do you just sit at home, go to work, go to the hospital, and otherwise Stop Living? No: You are told that you Must keep up your spirits to have a better chance at winning against your cancer. Putler is Ukraine's potentially malignant cancer. Ukrainians Must keep their spirits up so that they can keep up their energy and fight this cancer tooth and nail. The weapons that the west is "drip-drop" feeding Ukraine is the medicine. Except that, in this case, there is no such thing as "too much medicine". The West should give Ukraine Everything that it is asking for as quickly as they can and as quickly as Ukraine tells them that it can absorb it. Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Never Give Up. Slava Ukraini. Glory to the Heroes.
@@jacqdanieles Living under the delusion of Zelensky the Fuhrer of Ukraine. No hiding the swatzikas, SS badges and tattoos on fascist Ukrainian soldiers
Draft dodging and desertion is unacceptable - particularly in a country being invaded/occupied. I can sympathize with Russians who don't want to go attack another country for no justifiable reason; not with Ukrainians who won't stand alongside their people and defend their nation.
@@captaincabbagio no one should be forced to risk almost a certain death and no one should be judged especially by people from safe countries who can't even imagine being in the same situation. Compulsory military service is nothing but state run slavery.
@@captaincabbagio I could never judge anyone who just doesn't want to risk their life for politicians or a country. Not all people are patriotic and many have different values, such as being there for their family, that are more important for them than their country. That should be respected.
@@dominikhorvath8076 first off, politicians have almost nothing to do with it. It's their country. Why ask rhetorical questions you already have your mind made up to? Is every single family member outside of Ukraine? If not, they're not "being there for family". Your family doesn't exist and survive in Ukraine (or in any nation) without the people around you making everything work. Putting yourself over your nation isn't something to be respected. Someone turning their back on immediate family, non-immediate family, or the people/neighbours that enriched their lives whilst they suffer under an illegal invasion is despicable and I can guarantee you nobody in my country is looking at fighting-age Ukrainian men who aren't from Canada with any admiration.
@@mbatiste i would never go there. There are plenty of articles and researches proving it. Few weeks ago the minister od defence was caught with 5 mil € of cash in his car...every month something like this happens. While people die on the frontline politicians steal money. Dis gus ting
@@mbatiste why would i go there when they have organ farms? Few weeks ago a miniaty of defence was caught with few millions in the back of his porsche. Can it get more corrupt than this🤣
@@SasoDoncev89 I haven’t been to Ukraine myself, but I know other people from the US who have, and I would rather listen to what they have to say since they’ve been there and all. I only listen to my Ukraine news from Joseph Lindsley, the only American who lives in and reports daily from Ukraine. Other than this horrible war going on against Ukraine, it’s cities look just as beautiful as any other beautiful cities around Europe.
Cause Kyiv is valuable to Russia and they don't want it destroyed even if they could do it. There are smaller cities that got completely wiped out like Mariupol for example
@@Danygotaworldtosee no public toilets in such a big city ? lol even Where do you pee or poo while being tourist in Ukraine ? Show those holes in the ground lol don’t be afraid lol
How do you climb to the stairs to the 24th floor without an elevator during blackouts? How is life without electricity in the middle of the city? It must be very exciting tell us more!!!
Ukraine is terrible even before the war people were not friendly, Eastern Europe is a mess, no sense of service, lots of people trying to rip you off, the funny part is that they like you more if you speak Russian
Hello Dany … nice video and information about Kyyyyiv not kiiiiev and Dniiiiiipro river dnepro it’s in Ukrainian and English on proper maps …but you are proudly pronouncing in ruZZZian way . Please next time pronounce with all respect to the Ukrainian people in Ukrainian way …. City as KYYYIV and DNiiiPRO river . Hope you understand me and thank you . 👍🇺🇦🤗 This girl, she is nice but not much knowledge in history about her city or country , next time find some one a more professional as a “tourist guide” 👍👍👍😀😀😀.
It's a good idea to check first how to pronounce certain names. Some names are a new thing so it takes time to get used to them. Liza Chaika is young and from Tsernivtsi. I didn't know as much of my country's capital city's history as now when I'm more than double her age. She travels and learns all the time and is a great travel guide and beginning youtuber. There were only couple of youtubers before 2022, now dozens. Marketing sucked but now it's getting better all the time.
@@pacifist9805 Well…Dany is originally born in Ukraine 🇺🇦 yes he is ruZZZian speaking one ….so he should know better how to say it ,read in English and pronounced in Ukrainian….KYIV and DNIPRO . It’s not new any more it’s all ready more then 30 years on the maps , books , newspapers ,TV and international airports … KYIV not kiev. Full stop 🛑
even if we enter in google translator Днепръ or Дніпръ (Днѣпръ in chronicles) and choose the Bulgarian language, the version that is in the chronicle, then we will hear Dnipro or Dnepro because there is ѣ letter, no one knows how to pronounce it correctly: i or e, but the important thing is that O sound that at the end of the word, remains the same in the Bulgarian language and in the Church Slavonic language, that is, what is written in the English Wikipedia that it is the Dnieper is an absolute lie. We cannot edit the English Wikipedia because the pro-russian editors there delete our edits.
