I flew coach Virgin many years ago with my parents and it was exceptional for coach. Far superior to the now "flying bus coach class" in the US with every arguing to get overhead space and people unhappy to be crammed in. It seems you had a good flight on Virgin.

Loved my flight with Virgin, and I was binging your vids before going! Those exercise bikes however were incredibly annoying because they were right next to the relaxation area, and played loud noises.

Epic review - what a spectacular flight and Heathrow experience Virgin offers with a true Private Wing (despite the taxi glitch…) love how unique Virgin is! Gutted I had to cancel my trip in 2021, but hopefully will try Virgin in the near future 👍

I travel domestically in the states for work and have only gotten to fly VA for one UK trip. That being said just based off that one flight I could tell that VA is an amazing airline. Even though I was in coach it was still head and shoulders above our domestic offerings

Changing into pajamas in an airplane bathroom is a thoroughly disgusting option. I have accumulated tons of PJs from various airlines, but I keep them for use at home, not on the plane. The only time I have ever worn airline PJs on a plane was when flying Qatar's QSuites, where I had enough privacy in my suite to quickly change into pajamas. Many years ago, some 747s had a separate changing room on the upper level, but I am not aware of any airlines that still offer an in-flight changing room.

I don't like it when airlines use the word "suite," but don't offer a door! To me, it's false advertisement

Yes I have to say my experience flying with Virgin is definitely superior to BA. Still, the Asian airlines still have the edge.

I love virgin! I have only had one bad experience with the staff being very unfriendly, aggressive and dismissive from JFK-LHR. I can only afford economy at the moment but hopefully I will be able to fly first class one day in the future.

Very good review of the Virgin upper class business experience. I much prefer the A350-1000/900 config of Virgin upper class to their configs in 787s or A330s, with seats actually facing the windows on the 350s, giving more privacy, less awkwardness. Seems a very good hard product and most probably soft product too. Head and shoulders over that other British Airways and definitely the long haul products on USA airlines.

Flying upper class with virgin soon to Orlando. Fingers crossed it’s as good as this.

Virgin Atlantic is utterly underrated because the British population is not as big as US, and BA already dominating the whole British market for full service airlines, and it's gonna be tough for Virgin to compete with BA, and also the fact that they're choosing to enter the full service airlines instead of regional LCC, it's hard for Virgin to compete, nevertheless their service are way more better, I just hope they can get through pandemic and more and more people fly with Virgin so that they can compete with BA.

I couldn’t watch these reviews for about a year during the pandemic because they made me sad. Then stuff “opened” and I started traveling again, and they made me happy again. Now, omicron is a thing, and travel reviews are once again making me sad. We’ll know we weathered omicron when they once again make me happy.

The Virgin lounge looks amazing to the BA lounge for Business Class flyers, BA's is a joke. The seat looks good, but I've just come back from the States flying in BA's new Club Suite with the closing door and I absolutely loved it, the food was amazing, the only downside is that the new seat has a huge gap when lay flat between the back rest and the seat and you could really feel it but worth it to be able to close your door and you're in your only little world.

Seems similar to club suite just a bit more fancy in looks but that's the VA way, and u get the loft and pj's! The club house has always been one of the best lounges in the business, i used virgin loads bk in the day but switched to ba as virgin routes were cut and their UC price tag went through the roof once they partnered with Delta, i can get rtn club suite to say dubai for 1.5k and that same length journey with virgin to NY etc is like 3-4k, and virgin miles are impossible to spend as u need a flex ticket to use then to upgrade which is often more expensive then a low cost UC ticket so i fell away from them for those reasons, but always loved the hard product and this new suite looks fab! Good video, i enjoyed it

I flew between Los Angeles and London back in the middle of October and it was my first time with the A350. I loved it. I've only ever flown transatlantic in Virgin Upper Class because my company was paying for the seat. Since I retired, I've been using the Bank of America Virgin Atlantic MasterCard for everything I buy, and those miles really add up. So I've been able to stay in those great seats for several more years. The things I really liked in the A350 included the new seating pods with the dining table which pulls out and then flips toward you like a giant hug. I got a tablecloth! I had the same food and it was my first time ever eating duck and hog jowls. I almost always eat something for the first time on every Virgin flight. The giant TV screen was really nice, though I wished it would adjust to be closer to my eyeballs. I loved that my wired ear plugs worked with the plug for the lately awful ear muffs that Virgin uses for sound. Back in the day, their earphones were Bose or some other high-end name brand and they did aggressively collect each and every one before the flight ended. With the Covid mask and my glasses, there's no way I can deal with more stuff impinging on my lobes. I consider the Virgin flight in both directions to be part of my vacation, so I never sleep. I think the video offerings have been trimmed down since I last flew 2 years ago, but there was still enough to keep me entertained on my super long flights. I usually get 3 or 4 feature films, plus TV programs. The great addition was the tail and belly cams. On both of my flights, the cams both got locked out of service when the FA either mistakenly or purposely left the mic on his announcement phone locked. I forgot to ask about it on the way out. I could fly any carrier to and from London, but the sassy Virgin FAs never fail to entertain and impress. Now if they could only get the Virgin Lounge at LAX reopened in time for my next flights in July!

The reason why airlines don't do the live feed from outside is because during a crash the passengers get an all too real view of them about to die. This happened in the 70's when it was first introduced and was quickly taken away whence an aircraft took off then stalled and nose dived into a hanger, a view those passengers rather not have seen I'm sure.

Not sure if you're aware, but Richard actually encourages his VA passengers to take the salt/pepper shakers home with them as a keepsake.

Thank you for the great video (lounge & airplane). I'm a bit surprised that on a 9 hour flight you only got one meal and I gather... no amenity kit? Always appreciate that you take the time to show the menu in detail. (I would have eaten in the lounge... there wasn't one thing on that menu that interested me.)

Flew Virgin Business on a (basically brand new) A350 in September 2019. Absolutely wonderful experience and the reason why I love the A350

I love travelling Virgin, have been using last 15 years. One of the best Airline. BA have to work very hard to reach same standards.

lounge looks wonderful - especially after 15 years of BA lounges at Heathrow. Does Atlanta still have that weird and horrible system where you land and collect your luggage, and then have to check it in again, only to collect in the part of the airport accessible to all (where it could be nicked by anyone)?

Ayala Champagne served in flight is a top flight, pardon the Pun , cuvée owned by the house of Bollinger , so I hope that helps the curios wine buffs .

A gym or peloton area if you are laying over or have been on a work trip and regularly work out/ excercise is actually genius. Would make for a much more relaxing flight after getting a sweat in (as long as showers are available for after you work out before your board obviously)

The "modern British food"...The have been times when VS has gone a little to far with this concept, but I am happy to say that over the last 2-3 years they have toned it down a little. The one thing that VS (and BA for that matter) always get right are the curries. As these seem to be found more in Premium or economy, if you are in Upper you can request a curry and the crew will plate it for you.

We flew Upper to San Francisco in June, were a little disappointed to be on the old product but as you say the service was phenomenal from check-in to landing.

Hey, a great review...probably the only time I’ll ever get to see first class. My brother (Simon Pengelly) designed the sleep pods and a lot of the waiting room furniture. It’s awesome to finally see it...you lucky thing.

Just flew back from sfo in upper on the a350 and extremely disappointed aircraft was dirty seat leather rubbing off just the general state of the aircraft service was ok but nothing to want to do it again with virgin

Flew London to Los Angeles (LAX) three weeks ago and thought their first class was mediocre. Not convinced about the mood lighting. People never shut up and the crew didn't stop moving around noisily. So no sleep. I was in the middle row in the 1-2-1 seating configuration and felt a little close to my neighbour. Headphones didn't work properly. Food was OK. Coming back from L.A. to London, I met an even bigger mistake and flew Virgin Economy - I'm still recovering.

With flying Upper Class my flight from London to Jamaica includes 3 stops including JFK (New York) but I am not vaccinated & in America I've heard you need to be vaccinated in order to enter so how does that work?
