Personally when i see soft sand like this , i get my Kings air compressor out and make sure the tires are sitting around 50 PSI , these guys have gone way to low at 40PSI
Real men actually remove the tyres and run with the rims only. And keep pumping the throttle to show off the turbo whistle. Only through showing off how much power is under the bonnet will the sand be scared into submission.
@@incomprehensiblekerfuffle At 40 PSI , you run the risk of the tire coming off the rim, even running at 50 PSI is a risk - i think 55 PSI in this sand would be safest.
It's good to see some young people out having a go. They will learn soon enough. I'm sure most of us didn't know all the skills for sand driving straight away.
It's a couple of hours of basic research at first, I took my first car, a patrol like that one to Fraser, it was the first time driving in sand and I didn't get stuck. Letting your tyres down is the most basic thing. Not even knowing that Indicates dangerous ignorance
The problem is how many do this on tacks around aus an then we all bitch when they shut something down not hard to yell out to let ya tyres down I’ll lend ya a pump but no sit there chewing up tracks like a flog for half hour
Yeah old mate in the patrol gives it the berries and buries himself every single time before he even gets a chance to go anywhere haha. Good job sooty 💪💪
I don't understand how they can't see that when they give it all power with no momentum, they just sink straight down. You can literally see the Patrol drop 10cm into the sand. Then they pump the throttle to make it even worse. Traction is what there is very little of and they do everything they can to break it. Yeah sweet, we can hear all the mods but it doesn't help the situation at all. Meanwhile, a Mazda Tribute cruises through like it's nothing.
@@Michael467012 He just thinks he didn't have enough power. He'll go home and put more boost in. Then head back to fraser and do exactly the same crap.
Im from perth originally but in queensland now for 6 years and sand is a rarity over here, western australia is all sand its like they invented it,its more rock granite and mud here so sand driving doesnt come natural especially if your north of 1770
Don't the people bogged with the same vehicles as the guy idling along pulling a 21ft caravan thru the soft stuff with ease ,hmm what am I doing wrong 🥴
Every driver who's unfortunate enough to get stuck at In-Skip Point when you're there filming should be rewarded with a "40 PSI CLUB" bumper sticker slapped on their rear window.....as a reminder to air down, like and subscribe!
I'm on P plates, yet somehow I get down to 10psi.... That's not about P plates, that's about doing your homework and actually studying before going out.
@@officialWWM i live on the beach front 12 mile of sand in 30 years never needed a traction board , they are the L plate of 4wdrivers and the the only reason 4wd channels use them is for advertising to make money
@@LongLiveJuiceWRLD999 i was having this "talk" with old mate at work. He believes you should let them down when you get stuck, I belive in doing it before and just in case.
Its amazing that just a simple thing like letting your tyres to the right psi makes all the difference. All these much capable 4x4 gettng stuck and just last week I drove the same spot with my tyres at 15 psi and had no troubles and I only drive V200 GW Stock.
it is funny watching their faces when a Greatwall v200 makes them look stupid. mine has a 2inch lift bull bar and comforcer 4x4 tyres does the job. forgot to add, for my winches (front and rear) I also carry boat sand anchors so I can self recover, once out I drive over them and they pull out easy as.
That was kaos. I loved every second of it. Did you notice the scrappy Mazda tribute made it through without a problem? Probably let their tyres down to 18psi aye? Champagne comedy
I went to Fraser Island for the first time 2 weeks ago. Inskip was the only place I was concerned about getting bogged because of these videos. I sailed through like a dream in my ranger. There was softer sand trying to get fuel at the servo at orchid beach.
Yeah you guys are lucky over there. QLD was a beautiful place until it was invaded by every dickhead south of the border or from across the ditch. Now its just stupidity in GQs and 80/100s and no fish. Sad really.
I went to bribie island with my father in law. He was in an 3L auto mux and i was in a manual 3.2L ranger. I aired down to 10-12psi , he didnt air down. It was high tide. By the time we got to 2nd lagoon his gearbox was overheating, engine lights were on, and he broke every egg in the carton in his eski. I pretty much idled in 1st - 2nd gear high range.
This is impressive! We love your videos! When they are bogged BEFORE there is any weight on the strap is impressive .... “I got this” 🤦🏻♂️🤣 And the load on that strap doing the double tow to the cruiser with a boat
Do any of these clowns know how to change gears before they valve bounce their engines all over the sand? I thought diesels were built for torque pulling power, not reving like a rotary🤣
Here we are in the natural inhabited area of the beach before you eyes you can see the 4wd owner sometimes they are intelligent and sometimes they are as smart as a plank of wood. Here we see the plank of wood type of 4wd owner with no clue how to drive on the beach you can see he is just spinning his wheels and making lots of what they call SOOT I believe this is a mating call for some 4wd owners to attract other male owners to there vehicles so they can discuss power figures from there Td42s.
One thing all of these videos have taught me... We are blessed here in W.A... We don't see this amount of vehicles on the beach, EVER! Our sand is mega soft, so it sorts the Newbies and Turkeys out within the first 100m from the beach access roads. Keep up the great footage lads. 👍
@@rexxx777 I could tell you, but then it would no longer be a secret spot... It's North of Perth, but South of Exmouth, that's as far as I will explain, surely you'll understand me wanting to keep our beaches quiet...
@@12321bennyg one example is of a young bloke doing circles around a group of people playing soccer on the beach. The 4wd struck one of them in the head with its tray and the victim received brain damage. When the police asked the driver what they could do to try and deter people from driving dangerously, he replied “nothing, I’m just young and stupid and I’ll probably keep doing it” 🙄
P-Plater gets stuck. P-Plater goes to help, gets stuck. P-Plater goes to help stuck P-Plater helping stuck P-Plater. I know they're young, and making mistakes is how you learn...some things. Reading, watching videos... ON THIS CHANNEL!!!!!!...is another REALLY valid way of learning. Not ending up on this channel is proof of learning. All of this said, this is still piss funny, and extremely entertaining.
The interesting thing about high tire pressure and high RPM is that the PSI increases as the tires heat up. So spinning the shit out of them is worthless
@@DarrenBoxhall in the bastardised version of the queens english used in the US, yes but not anywhere else in the world. Shit, they cant even say Jaguar and coupè (which is French) correctly when referring to motor vehicles.
This channel is no good! When I went to inskip I was all geed up for this extreme 4x4 challenge then when I arrived and aired my troopy down to 15psi I glided over the sand to the barge like it was tarmac absolute stitch up! Hahaha
So many manual transmissions. The best is when they go full throttle in 1st, try to make a quick shift to second, at which point the tires completely stop moving and then a clutch dump with tires completely stopped into 2nd. Automatic transmissions are a thing. They do very well these days. Get some good tires, air them down and go. So many of these guys slowing down way too much.
Late comment but reminds me when years ago driving on really soft beach with mates, tyres at 15. then we come across a guy with brand new landcruiser bogged. 4 cars stop and say hey mate you should let your tyres down. ignorant person tells us brand new landcruiser and was told this thing would go anywhere , after a bit of argument and telling him the same thing a few times , 4 cars drive off. maybe had to call sales man and get warranty, money doesnt buy the ultimate 4wd. well it probably does. but without the right driver may as well be a citroen
Don't tell them that. What they need is more tyre pressure, and more power. Also the lift should be maxed out so that there is no downtravel in the suspension. We need to be entertained.
lack of skills .. A short story, here in denmark we also have long beaches to drive, and back a few years ago I went there with my Subaru Impreza 1.5R, stock.. and at that same day there was an offroad beach rally with lots of patrols and other 4x4 moded vehicles.. I noticed they where all having fun in the soft sand ( like this place ) but most of them didnt make it far, to much power and got stuck. I was thinking about my little impreza, and wondered if it would make it, and since there was a lot of 4x4 and also towrobes around, I would like to try because they could pull me out again. What happen, well.. I dont have a huge engine 1.5 so I didnt spin my tires and I drove right across with not a single issue !.. ( the 4x4 club was stunned ! )
