I just watched this and it was so weird to see Robin in such an intense role; a similar feeling to when I saw him in One Hour Photo. He did really well! No wonder he drank while filming this, too. I’d imagine the insomnia would have been real - that and the isolation! Miss him so much. ❤️❤️❤️

Justice is not always the way we would like it to be, on its scales every motive can be justified and everyone can feel absolved of guilt. Justice has its weight. A big movie with big movie names, Al Pacino and Robin Williams and a young Hilary Swank.

I like how Nolan's origins were making movies just like David Fincher's, very uncompromising and willing to wrestle with the darkest corners of humanity in great dark psychological thriller mysteries. It carried over into his bigger movies, until Interstellar I guess.

When the detective was writing down the address on the back of the novel. It did not give the apartment number. How in the world did he know exactly where to go? It was just the name of a town, no street address. No apartment number. Huge plot hole.

full of comments from people who love to comment on "actor's performance": maybe this make them feel as "connoisseurs", but it does not give any help to estimate the quality of the films.....the "performance" contribute almost nothing to a movie being entertaining, enjoyable and engaging....as examples: First Blood (Sylvester Stallone) or North by Northwest (Cary Grant).... so please, don`t be pretentious with fake "insider's rubbish" and tell if the damn movie is entertaining, thanks

I just saw this again on HBO Max. Forgot how good this movie is. So many layers...not a typical murder mystery but a psychological thriller. Robin Williams as an evil guy you just would never think of that but my gosh he's so good because evil is not some crazy acting person but most like a average quiet person. Great movie. Very underrated!!

This movie is unique for three reasons: 1. It features Robin Williams in a villainous role. 2. Prior to "The Irishman", it was Al Pacino's last good performance. 3. It is probably the most straight-forward and easy to follow of all of Christopher Nolan's films
