I met Jhon Clarence in Basiao, Ivisan Capiz, during my July 7, 2024 visit. At a young age, he's been fishing to help his family and to support his studies. He's 17 years old.
Jhon Clarence dreams of becoming a Coast Guard. He wants to protect and safeguard Philippine waters and help his family and community. With his hard work, determination, and optimism, he will fulfill his dream for himself and his family.
It's inspiring to meet a young man like Jhon Clarence. He exudes the characteristics of Filipinos who are family-oriented, hardworking, and resilient.
