What features do you want on the Inspire 3?

You’re using 3rd parry lenses with the X5s. With the X7 gimbal there is minimal calibration with the DJI lenses.

I worked on a commercial shoot back in 19. I was flying a bebop2 at the time. They brought in a drone from L.A., We were up near Oregon. It was an Inspire. I remember they lost connection with it about 500 feet out over a river, I couldn't believe that I could fly my bebop 10 times that far. And they were paying this company $12000 a day!

You're comparing your experience with a drone with 7-year-old technology to its updated version which you haven't even seen yet? They are not even in the same universe. The Inspire 3 is $16500.

Great job! Eddie. My I2 had 2 main issues that drove me nuts. It could never fly straight, no matter what calibration I did, and the constant disconnections. DJI left a lot of owners hanging with no fix. I wouldn’t even consider the I3.

It's not so bad, Eddie. It's still a great drone. I agree with you on the drone. You, going to pick up that Inspire 3? Waiting to see that one drop.

Oh man good review, really informative but has put a damper on my hopes of getting an Inspire 2. I've seen one reasonably affordable and was thinking of getting rid of both my DJI FPV and my Mavic PRO simply because one day I'd like to start a side hussle from my hobby u know. Food for thought …. The connection issues you mentioned are alarming for sure, thanks and keep the fire burning.

The Inspire 3 seems to have corrected the transmission issue. So fustrating lose signal after 500 feet!! Thanks for sharing

Excellent video Eddie. It was really informative to me hearing your perspective. I very recently bought the Inspire 1 literally just to play with. I appreciate the older technology but it is definitely old tech compared to my Mavic 3, Mini 3,etc. I’m very tempted to buy the Inspire 3 but I will mostly use it for my hobby and very little paid gigs.

You inspired me to pull out my inspire 2, X7 camera and the prime lens kit. I have 2 chargers that will charge all 6 of my batteries simultaneously. I can literally keep flying. I also have the booster antennas for the cadence controller that help reception immensely. And you are correct the production quality of the camera, especially Raw is bare none the VERY best out there!

ALL OF THESE ISSUES WERE FIXED WITH THE INSPIRE 3. Please change the CLICK-BAIT title.😊

Great video, Eddie. I have to admit, I agree with your comments for the most part. I love my inspire 2 but I hate picking it up and lugging the big box I bought for it. Buying the huge box for the Inspire seemed like a good idea at the time, but unfortunately, picking this thing up and lugging it up the stairs is a major pain. But on windy days when the Mavic three is fighting to stay in the air, it is nice having the Inspire 2 it’s just a real headache to lug around and set up.

any other drone that might be more stable and have better connectivity out there? im looking to solely use it for fishing so just flying baits out and dropping them, unfortunately the smaller ones can't carry the weight. Not too concerned with video quality.

That’s the one thing that still amazes me with this line is as much money needed for this it has so many hangups… It’s a shame clearly not the case of getting what you pay for and let me get this straight with the inspire we’re still Geo fence rate I don’t know if that question is even valid for my comment but anyway… Mr. Eddie I really appreciate the card that you put up in the time that you take out to educate us. I’m relatively new to the game although I started strictly hobbyist thanks to Covid. Pretty sure the Inspire series was never ment for the average Joe. Unless you are doing big production work that requires particular formats and bit rates, stick the mavics/phantoms period.

Nicely done Eddie. I thought DJI wasn't supporting Lightbridge very enthusiastically any more. This drone just isn't for hobbyist, it's a total work in the field drone. Thank you Eddie for all you provide as always. One never leaves empty handed.

You made a U turn 2/3 of the way through your video! Compare video of the inspire against Mavic 3! I can’t afford either one, but I’d like to see the difference between a large drone and compact one

Do have to mention that you don't have to calibrate for different lenses when you work with the Zenmuse X7 and the DL-S lenses. I do think that system brings out the best the Inspire 2 has to offer. Do agree that the modern Mavic series are way more robust and stable platforms, excited to see that new tech brought over to the inspire series. Would be cool if our payloads and accessories still work on the inspire 3! Because the Zenmuse X7 is still a superb gimbal/camera sensor and those lenses are great as well..

I hear you about the connection quality, I thought it was a joke for such a pricey kit, I had to mod the TX with 2 x 4 watt boosters and directional antennas. Even after that I still get connection issues at 5K out although much better. Interference from the ships I chase and the "K" index is still a problem. Hope they have sorted it all out with the i3. With all its shortcomings, set up, effort, cost and aggravation to fly and limitations it seems the “second to none” video and picture quality isn’t worth it. And You got me with Mavic 3 in the title though

I just picked up the x7 gimbal and 24mm lens……. I still have the x5s kit lens along with 35mm and 25mm Olympia lenses….It’s super fantastic. You are right about cost…. I’m 15 grand in.

I wanted an I2, but found an I1 Pro at a great price. Love the drone, but it is a pain to haul around and set up. Still enjoy flying it though! Can't wait to see what the I3 brings!

You are so correct about the two different signal

not enough sats connected, bad wifi interference , low charge on remote, broke line of sight, firmware, lots of reasons why they crash

Wow Eddie your channel has grown exponentially! It's outdated to sum it all up, technology is just leaving a lot of these drones in the dust, especially being 5 years old. That's y I'm so scared to invest in a really nice camera drone. I had MA 2, I'm not sure what to get now. Cheers Eddie

i also lose connection with my drone about 200-500 ft out with line of sight. My mavic can go much much farther and behind buildings and not lose connection, thats my only gripe with the inspire 2, other than that its perfect

If we have a Sony camera like a7siii it may be better off investing in a Sony airpeak perhaps? The inspire 3 I’m sure with be over 10k

Wow Lightbridge first came out with the DJI Phantom 3 Professional in 2015....back then that was the bomb ..not anymore lol.

Why buy not 1 not 2 but 3 of them

I own both the air 2S and the Mini 2 and both have amazing video transmission and are way more cheaper and with some ND filters you would be fine. I thought about buying an Inspire but it’s just way to much of a hassle to fly in my eyes.

100% not a hobbyist drone. Unfortunately, you can actually lose a contract or told to leave a set showing up with Mavic drones, so the Inspire 2 was beneficial in the fact that clients, who know its worth, would require a more professional drone. Last summer, I sold mine to make a downpayment on a new Tesla, lol....but I miss it. Before It was sold, I was primarily using it for photos and mapping missions....Mavic 3 for video. 👍 We will see whether the Inspire 3 greatly improves upon the issues the Inspire 2 has.

Yeah, the Inspire line is not a drone for hobbyists. Period. Unless you have money to burn, it's not for the hobbyists. Every drone I've bought has been paid for immediately by work and now makes me money. Looking forward to the Inspire 3, it will be paid for in a month tops. Then nothing but a money maker.

Interesting look at this beast of a drone... I only ever got to an inspire person on display at the DJI Store in the garden state plaza. 🤣

I feel as if these drones nowadays are just getting bigger every year. And I believe it's because the company itself needs new ideas to keep producing while making money. But I have to say that bigger drones are just a letdown because of how big they are and everyone can see them just looking at them. The DJI MINI 3 PRO are much better drone to how small and how focused they are with its cameras. However, It’s no surprise that the older stuff is going to be better than the newer ones having some dumb stupid ideas in the making.

Maybe flying drone is not the right for you. Maybe need more practice on getting smaller and cheap drone.

I am surprised that you didn’t mention that none of the Inspire series hold their value (what you pay for it) for long. It’s better to wait till the hype dies down and buy a fully loaded one at 1/2 the costs

The Inspire 2 is capable of 1080p back to the RC, but not with crystalsky. You would need to switch to a phone or tablet.

That was a fun drone session. Definitely worth the trip. It’s crazy seeing such a beast of a drone with those limitations. I agree with you from a hobbyist standpoint, it’s a bad investment. Excellent job putting this video together 👍👍 😱Critically low battery😱

No the inspire 3 is way to big! I rather fly the mavic 3 cine! Inspire 3 is to big and it doesn’t fit in small places! Super loud, everyone sees it. Not a fan
