It's been 20 days I'm here. Village called Riwai.Its just near Mawlynglong .Which is known as Cleanest Village in Asia.
Riwai is bessically a tourist spot .. Where tourist comes for visiting Living Root Bridge... this place is between mountains. And Jungles . Their is not any other way for incomes ..They choosed Tourism.ok It's good thing.but the thing is that because of tourist place is polluted with plastic and their is no way for recycling.
1st day I went to talk with with headman of this village..He is not their..No authority was their but 1 guy from this village he used to cleaning but he was not able to busy with cleaning everyday because he have to run his own business also.
We started together.We cleaned the village.We talked with a plastic recycling company.They will come from Shillong in every 2 months and they will buy all those plastics which is recyclable. Pretty cool right ?
1 thing . Villagers used to serve Frutes in a plastic packet .After cleaning all this village we realized that their is only 1 kind of plastic which is surrounded by .I'm talked about this matter with headman of this village.
Yesterday had a conversation with all villagers in Village community hall.Following point's have to obey by all villagers
1 . Every family have to Drop their weast in village community hall with mentioning their family name.
2.On village cleaning day. Atleast 1 person from one family have to join in the cleaning program.
3. That single use plastic is totally Banned.If any one use that plastic ( for frutes serve) he have to pay fine for that .
So Riwai. It's Done.I will come here after 3 months with new project
Finally Left Riwai.
I will be back in this village after 3 months ...But this time left just because of one reason that is ..I wants to make a school in this village.Their is a Govment school ..The fees of that school is too high according to the villagers only who have daywise income.but their is another private school also..But their is only class 5.so i wants to make this private school big ...and education syestem will be different .and will try to provide free education.
I dropped my cycle in Riwai and i m going to another part of india for funding.This upcoming trip will be all about funding for school and for global warming .
After 7 days I'm going to kanniyakumari for starting my journey.
