Inspiring Veggie Consumption 

Food Literacy Center’s mission is to inspire kids to eat their vegetables. The Sacramento-based organization teaches children in low-income elementary schools about cooking, nutrition, gardening, and active play to improve their health, environment, and economy. In FLC’s classrooms, students learn fruit and vegetable appreciation, how to read nutrition labels, cooking skills and environmental impacts of their food choices - and they have fun.
