So, Go 3 = very tiny, fit anywhere, and can record very well and have the best stabilization in post-production X3 = one of the cleanest 360 videos ever, can still look very good even when scaled down, and can reframe the rotation of the camera in Post-Production, a whole 360° Spin!
I wish I saw this video before I purchased.. I was debating which camera I should use.. I strongly wanted the insta pro 2 because my purpose was to just stick it on me while i take photos and show the before and after for tiktok ...but my dad insisted that i get the x3 for the 4k quality...i did more research and was convinced that its cool but wven now that i have it im still annoyed... because im not really a video person. All the complicated steps to make the video cool is just too much time that i really dont want to do...my focus is my photos on my dslr and i just want behind her scenes.... I can attach the 3x to things but its too big and not that subtle...i look like an alien and i feel like it will attract too much attention especially when im aiming for subtle candids... When i try to edit it, the quality is not that impressive. Exactly like u said, its for unique looks but that isnt really my purpose.. My purpose is for something small and easy for behind the scenes...i wish i watched this or listened to my gut. Like dont get me wrong, x3 is an amazing camera, what people do with it is pretty cool!! ....But its is not for me 🥴 usagewise. I just wanted to post my pov so others might find it helpful....Dont go for what looks the coolest...base your decision on usage.
Agree with this i wanted something easy to use and discreet while im travelling. With the go 3 able to detach is really useful i can just pop in a case with a handstrap is soo useful or even with the necklace it comes with. Love it!
Cool comparison. Just bought the go 3 128GB and also have the One R twin lens. I hope to use the go 3 for places I cant take my one R on a big stick for my walking videos.
Great comparison video, very informative, no one else goes into the detail you have shown. I was going to buy the X3 but the video quality isn't that great, both these cameras just don't capture the best quality video in any of their setting modes. The 360 camera for effects is great but is of no real use unless the video is clear and sharp, people just won't watch a blogger channel with lower quality video.
The one thing I wished you had mentioned is storage space. With the Go 3 the storage is fixed at time of purchase Whilst afaik the X3 takes micros and thus the storage is effectively unlimited I was all set to buy a Go3 until I discovered the storage issue Currently I am keeping my powder dry for the replacement for the One RS 360 presumably the Two RS 360 which I hope will carry the 4 microphone & audio processing etc of the X3 along with 1" sensors unless of course Insta just jumps to a dual "1inch* X4 - which would be my preferred option. As you say Insta360 is currently lacking against latest sony/samsung/pixel/apple/Chinese phones. Perhaps we are going to see a Premium Instaphone???
Really useful video! I am looking to purchase a GO 3 to capture some more "on the go shots" for my vlogs, especially for vlogmas! At the moment i use a Canon M50 which gives amazing quality but is a little too big for carrying around all the time.
It looks like the course was to good for my subscription to grab me a discount, but I loved the preview for it, and it looks like 360 filming has all sorts of creative freedom. Thanks for the comparisons. I'm leaning towards the X3. Is there a solid way to protect against submersion and impact?
Please anyone can answer which one is better to take daily vlog showing the beautiful places while having toddlers? I love vlogging but sometimes im tired to always hold my phone especially when im with my kids. I wanted to buy go3 but i take long videos etc and if I understand the video the memory is less. Do both offer built in wifi or no?
If you don’t want to stress about achieving good angles and keeping up with the children I’d say x3. Plus I feel toddlers are more likely to try to remove and lose the camera from the GO
Top man. Finally a great real and honest review. I guess I ll stay with my gopro 12 as I look for image quality more than 360 . Single lens mode is still not as good for a 4k. Go 3 is great but I ll get the dji action 2 as it can do most thing that go 3 do but at better image quality as it has 4k. Maybe next year we will have a 4k insta go 4 and than I ll get that. The 360 looks great but I guess now with x4 out……
I am thinking of buying one of these, but i am afraid like if a am taking the go 3 in a rollercoaster or somerhing it wil fall out. Is the x3 better to choose?
How is footage transferred out of the go 3? Is it mainly over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi? Is there a microSD card ? If it's used on long trips can video be offloaded to an iPad for example
Yea, that is not mentioned in the couple of comparison videos I watched. The X3 is all about shooting yourself, while the Go 3 is shooting something else.
Yah it’s bright in the gym which has better quality x3 or go 3? I already have main camera but I want some b roll with x3 or go3 does both have log profile?
I think it depends if you wanna move you camera for each new position with the GO or just sit it in a central location and let the 360 catch you. From every angle
I bought both and travelled with them I will say the X3 hands down is the best between those two The stabilization on the Go 3 is horrible and the video quality is not there without it.
