This info will come in quite handy for me as I have a go3/go3S/X3/X4 and I use them at the same time but not all the time. Only when I am shooting items for sale and with my 2 g'grandbabies Once again you have out done yourself with the information that some of us have desired. Continue please. Looking forward to the next video.

Gracias, muy bien explicado! No sabía lo de las 3 cámaras y solo conectaba 2.. hoy lo he hecho con las 3 (insta360 R, Go 3 y X4) ha ido genial en una ruta motera.

Superb video as usual. I sold my GPS Remote a few weeks ago because it wouldn't work properly with the X4....1wk later the firmware update was released! Doh. Having seen this video, I am less irritated as you've clearly demonstrated that the firmware update is a long way from being a well sorted solution at this time. I'm still operating one camera (X4) only ATM but considering additional cameras and the Ace Pro and Go3S are in the mix with a GoPro/DJI products, so I wa s interested to see how this would perform as it could influence the decision. As it stands, it doesn't though - the integration across Insta products is pretty woeful, particularly the pairing at start-up shortcoming, but it is at least consistent...consistently poor! I enjoy making short motorbiking videos for recording my memories (i.e. no real interest in growing a channel), but I'd like to add a different dimension and think that standard action cam has its place, but I have some concerns...I'd welcome any comment and/advice (if you have time): 1) Go3S offers versatility - Ace Pro offers utility. Given that the x4 doesn't offer the best quality as a finished output due to pixel count limitations, I think that the versatility of the Go3S would compliment things nicely. The Ace Pro (or GoPro/Osmo etc) image quality is far superior to the X4 and I wonder if it would overshadow the X4 footage within a completed 4k video. Thoughts? 2) I intend on upping my game to add a dimension or maybe two...adding B-roll transitional clips is one area I'm exploring and I may add a voiceover (but my voice is hideously dull!). i) Go3S probably better for getting the B-roll stuff as it is more versatile, yes/no/opinion? ii) DJI mic 2 or Rode Pro? Maybe you have other suggestions? DJI with its direct Bluetooth connection seems to offer greatest flexibility. 3) adding cameras and mic input to the edit process inevitably increases editing time...I already take about 3hrs per 10min video (incl. titles, stickers, audio and RU-vid descriptions)...does the added dimensions i.e. adding B-roll and audio, increase the editing time linearly/exponentially in your opinion? Thanks for listening and any advice or contribution you may have (in advance!).

Thanks for the kind words and for watching. Here's my input on your questions: 1) Ace Pro will definitely give you better image quality (dramatically better in low light), but GO3S clearly wins when it comes to versatility (ability to place it almost anywhere). You make a valid point, that if you are mixing X4 and "normal" video, GO3S might be the better choice so as not to create drastic changes within your video. 2)i) Yes, GO3S is more versatile, but when I think B-roll, I am thinking surrounding scenery and ambience, so not sure that versatility is the big issue. Have you also considered the DJI Pocket 3, or is that too "fragile" for your purposes? 2)ii) I have no experience with the Rode, but I'm sure it's on par with the DJI. The major benefit for me with the DJI is the BT connection, instead of having to use Insta's ridiculous mic adapters (but see also note below). 3) Yes, adding narration does add to the complexity, but also can make a better final result. Instead of narrating at the moment using a wireless mic, you might also want to consider adding the voiceover using a studio mic, while editing. Most editing software makes it very easy. Hope that helps.

@@ttl_channelThanks for the advice and guidance... Much food for thought! I don't use "proper" editing software for making my videos, which ultimately might be my limiting factor in upping my game too far...to date I've been relying on the Insta app on my phone as I don't find Studio as intuitive and I don't carry my laptop on my trips either. Yes, the phone app has it's limits, but it's not that bad. On balance, I think you've helped to crystallise a few things: - studio mic isn't an option for me, it's a step too far for a hobbyist I think, especially since my videos are for my amusement and not for professional gain - DJI mic is probably the direction I'll go. I'll likely go the 2x Tx + 1x Rx route I think. The BT option would be the clincher for single mic usage. Also, if I got another camera, I could pair one mic to the X4 and one to the other. The Rx connection for pairing the mics to one recording device also has interest for me. - I think the smaller DJI cam you the into the mix would be too fragile for motorbiking activity, so I need to give the Go3S/Ace Pro some consideration. Since I don't shoot in low light, that isn't a consideration but the overall quality of the Ace probably leads me down that pathway. Most importantly you've got me thinking and considering other factors, so many thanks for that and thanks for the content too. I came across your channel following a search and your unbiased, logical and practical approach really is excellent.

@@ttl_channelThanks for taking the time to reply, really appreciate it. Seems there are a few new product releases on the way...Osmo 5 Pro and Ace Pro 2 likely due shortly too. I think I'll hold fire to see some comparisons but your thoughts have left me ruling out the Go3S...quality, quality, quality wins! DJI 2 Mic was on the list to buy but I'm now thinking that a single mic might be better for me as the Tx + Rx set feels like it could be overkill for my hobbyist needs...it'll save me a lot of money too and as long as my cameras support BT that should be sufficient.
