Hi, I have a question I really hope you can help me with. I purchased the Insta360 one x2 to use for real estate photography and all the interior photos come out bowed. This is very good. But before you can do any of this the camera software has to work. WHen I try to record, I get msg , "install software". What software? Also, cannot connect to android phone. No lessons in how to do this and Insta so far hasn't helped.

Nice and easy to understand video. I have a new Insta360 ONE X2 camera. But I can't use the Insta360 Studio 2022 software at all :( I install the program without any problems but after starting it only the start screen and the end appear :( I don't know what to do with it at all. the camera is useless to me :( Windows 10 operating system, 16GB RAM, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz. On this PC, I edit video in Adobe Premiere Pro, edit photos in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. I have no problems anywhere, only here. What could be the problem? Thank you.

Does the camera have a speaker or there is no audio when playback directly on the camera?

I have a few questions..would need your help 1. How does it work under the Glare of the Sun? 2. Sometimes when i shoot in the sun, i find Black glare in the video, does this happen with others? How to avoid it? In the Video when i look, i see half of the video as normal and half a portion as Glare/Black screen. 3. Is there anything you guys do, after taking a video? Hot to you set the settings to where you shoot the selfie stick tracking / drone style video like you did at the beginning and the end of your video ? And if its 360 and you move it to where you are in the shot, how to you download it to where you stay ins the shot like you did so you can upload it to RU-vid or watch it on your computer to where you stay in the shot ??

Great guide Chris. Do you know if the screen on camera stays on in starlapse or interval modes as it does on One R which is mega annoying as it destroys starlapse/startrails with blue light showing in them grr ?

Hey mate so the 150 degree and taking off the wide angle doesn't look very good, is it too grainy? I was hoping I'd be able to use it as a single lens can for more intimate or standard shots for travelling. That's a shame if it's that bad

Chris, when we shoot video on 360 mode, it always Come with portrait format, can we set it to landscape format ? And If we already have the video 360 shot in portrait format, can we change it to landscape format so we could play it full screen at computer or presentation screen? Thank you

Does the camera save all the brackets from HDR mode as separate files so that you can merge them later on in photoshop manually or are they merged into a single file right away? And I guess you can also setup the exposure brackets via the just like you demonstrated on the camera, right?

Is there a quick way to memorize how all these menu are organized? I haven't played with it a lot, maybe I will remember with a lot of practice, but for now I find it very hard to remember what menu is where... always have to look all over for something.

I was looking for something like the Interval mode for taking pictures with my drone, since I can't use a shutter button, I want it to keep taking raw pictures. So you need to explain Interval.... Does it keep taking pictures? (Guess I will have to try it.)

hi, i have a question - can we record non stop videos as long as there is power? or does it stop recording after 30mins and then resume recording after it stops?

H265 is not difficult, it's overall a better codec for HDR, you'll need a better PC to exploit it that's it. Use proxies and everything will be fine.

is it possible to crop in another ratio on the X2? lets say, i would want to do a 1:2,39 Canvas ratio, instead of the classic 16:9 Canvas ratio... how would You get there, if You would want to end up with such a wider (Cinemascope Ratio) Canvas Ratio,... out of the X2's 360 footage?

Very nice review. Can You use 150 degrees linear for both cameras at the same time? or even in post after?

Frustraighted start. I assumed that in adjusting the camera to manual exposure that I would have access to the camera settings on the camera in the camera it self, that does not seem to be the case. Do you have more settings function if you set settings through the App, your video picture seem to suggest in display that there is 1/30- through faster settings listed. That was not attainable in the camera. I have found no text document, or video, suggesting the app is required to set individual manual settings. This is big deal, major important point to make up front. I am up early two hours before dawn in 23°f weather set up on a cliff to shoot a timelapse of sunrise and I have no access to settings of shutter speed. I still don’t know for sure, I will have to take camera home and charge it, try to solve this. Also : Insta360 sates if you shoot a lapse for sunrise or set, or starlspse, you should use a charge bank to plug into camera. Well I thought about this, and without the disclaimer of “only above 33°f”, this is maybe a real bad Idea. Lithium electroplates the anode with a crystal in charging cold sub 32°f weather, it is not reversible when the battery warms up, you shorten battery life permanently. So using a powerbank in the cold may be a lousy idea. So in the cold, your suck with in camera power use. I tested indoors the power run length of the camera in Starlapse mode and got about 3 hours on full charge (that shutter delay is set in the program for you) Lithium has good delivery in cold weather of power down to below 18°f, so that’s good.
