The thing that gets me is I have had the F22 for 4 months and loved it and never bothered to look at them for my other mounting solutions.

Hi, I hope you don't mind if I add a thought or two. I've been using the F38 setup for a while now. It does have one added benefit of locking the push button but I have noticed it can rattle when attached to something like a mountain bike or dirt bike. A rubber band takes care of that issue. I would also add that the Insta360 and other standard selfie sticks work great for what they are made for which is all hand-held functions. When mounting to a car, truck, bike, motorcycle, etc, the best stick to use is the more expensive Insta360 Action stick because the standard one can break off at the top. Many photos of this happening on social media. Keep up the good work in educating us on these different products!

This was awesome!!! Thanks so much for jumping in. My goal is to help people and your comment definitely does that. I’m going to get the action pole soon. Been looking at it for a bit, and your comment solidifies it. I’ve never even heard of the top part breaking off of the normal one so that is good to know. I’m gonna look into that f38 mount. Ps. @@thebetterbuy Another important point about using the F22/F38 plates on the bottom of the Insta X cameras is that they give added support and stability. It's best to use a cage but if not, using one of these plate systems without the in-between magnetic mount is the next best thing. There are also images of the 1/4" mount breaking when used solo with just a bolt mount (if this makes sense). I wish I could post photos here to illustrate it.

@@thebetterbuy Thanks but while I know this is going to be your main source of income, it's going to take a while to build it to that level and I support you 100%. On the other hand I don't join any of these pay sites so don't take it personal. If I did, half my income would be going to them all.

And standard (wider) version of F22 is fine on X3 & X4 (100% invisible in 360 fotage?) so there is no need to buy a little more expensie F22 insta360 narrower version? Another con of insta360 version is that you cannot buy additional base alone, you have to buy couple of full sets to attach bases to different gear whereas with standard F22 you can buy plate & base separately.

@@thebetterbuy Probably O could have been more precise ;) I wanted to ask you if Falcam F22 standard wider version is also OK for X3&X4 in terms of being invisible in 360 recording? Or do we have to buy Falcam f22 insta360 version (it is narrowed)?

Please can you send the link of the dashcam you use when your insta360 x4 is inside the car and you record what you see on the road for e.g. legal purposes etc in case you get into a car accident that wasn't your fault?

Could the wobble on the insta 360 version just a defect? Trying to watch other videos of it and not seeing it on other reviews. I'm currently using ulanzi hummingbird.

No. This is also the case with their Go 3 magnetic mount, but it’s a shorter camera so not as much of an issue. They did an “action” mount version for the go 3 with nubs to help, so I think it’s something they are aware of. Their mount is marketed for the Ace Pro, so it would have less of an effect. I’m just trying to save people from thinking it will work well with the X4, which is what I was excited about.

@@thebetterbuy Didn't it come with anti-vibration strips that could potentially be applied to remove some play? I do have the go 3 as well but honestly I haven't use the GO 3 with the full case and mounts, it has always been just the camera. Either way thanks for demonstrating the issues.

@@micd.7540 It's actually pretty good, it's tiny and does not have play. Insta initially came out with it and I went ahead and looked on amazon and found ulanzi's version which I think is exactly the same thing for half the price. It works well honestly and if you really want something tiny it works well.

Ok I'm back with a question. Have the mount ever unscrewed itself from the selfie stick? My F22 base despite having me torque it on the selfie stick sometime loosens up. It has fallen off the selfie stick once already.

So I have not had this happen, but mine is not facing the constant vibration of a motorcycle.
