Thank you for making this video. I bought instachord 2 soon after it was released. And I was lost on how to use it. Your video has reopened my eyes to it.
Very thorough and honest video which highlights the excellent, the good and the downright shoddy aspects of this plugin. For me, Instachord is very much a work in progress that still has a long way to go to rival the likes of something like Rapid Compose or Scaler but is clearly moving in the right direction. Given the relatively affordable purchase and upgrade pricing, it's a journey I'm happy to be onboard for.
Thanks! I am just checking out InstaComposer 2 which came out just two days ago. W.A. Production addressed most of the things people missed in version 1. That is something I really like about the company. They seem to listen. So yeah, InstaChord 3 will be a real gem, most probably. 😎
Hello and thank you very much for creating this very helpful video. I learned more from your video than from any of the others I have watched. I have 2 questions. First, are you limited to 4 bars with your patterns? Second, when creating user presets, are you required to save the chords separately from the patterns? Thanks again.
If you need longer patterns you have two options whereby the second one is kind of a work around. (1) you can just play another action (pick). you can have 12 different ones you would play over two octaves. (2) you can also change the timing to for example 8/4 which doubles the pattern length. Your second question: No, you are not required to separate chords and patterns. But you can. There are presets for the whole plugin with chords and all. And you can save the patterns separately if you want to use them in other projects as well.
