Sounds interesting. I would suggest that it may be better if they were standalone books though due to learning more and more of the characters possibly affecting the ratings

It’s called the shadowhunters universe and there are currently 4 series in it I believe. (the mortal instruments, the infernal devices, the dark artifices, the last hours)

I think City of Bones came out around 2007! Still a really great series, once you get into the shadowhunters world you just never want it to end, similar feeling to reading ToG imo

When you said city of bones came out 2015 my jaw literally dropped cause that it feels like that series has been haunting me basically my whole life 😭😭 I had to look it up and I think it’s just that edition that came out 2015. The book itself came out 2007 😭😭

If you want to know publication order, Google fantastic fiction to find a great database that I personally use all the time. Don’t forget that Sword Catcher isn’t a Shadow Hunter series book.

The mortal instruments is such a great series! I’m currently reading it. Just please give it until the third book because the end of the first doesn’t do the series justice I mean it’s good but those who have read it knows what I’m taking about. and it will make sense after the third book.

@@teresajayy yes definitely. The end of the first book won’t make sense until the third book unfortunately but the pay off is sooo good that’s why I suggested she give it until the third book. I can’t really say why it’ll make sense without ruining it. But the second book you’ll get that weird feeling again but by the end of the third one is when it all makes sense and the pay off is good.

When I read Zodiac Academy my expectations weren't very high due to some negative reviews on TikTok, but I was just looking for something fun and entertaining and told myself I could put it down when ever I want. I ended up loving the series and getting lost in the books, which surprised me because I normally don't like a bully romance either. These books become really addicting after the first two, and although I understand why people don't like them, I think they are so fun and every book is better than the last!

the mortal instruments was my favourite series as a kid so I hope you love it. I will say the first few books are a little cringy but the writing and story just gets better imo. And you’ve gotta get to the infernal devices trilogy at least which is in between TMI, it’s just so good and I think you’ll love the characters and aesthetic of Victorian London 🖤

SARA the shadowhunter chronicles is my favorite series ever!! while the Mortal Instruments definitely has it's flaws, its still good in a cheesy twilight way that makes you feel like a teenager again and its so worth it to get to the Infernal Devices because that trilogy is PERFECT in every way and you NEED to experience the love and heartbreak PLEASE!!!

THE GASP of PURE EXCITEMENT that I had after realizing these violent delights won!!!! I was literally trying to remember if I voted for it or not and I still have no idea, i think I did because maybe I was hoping it was that one. My favorite series of all time, some find it boring because of the political aspect, but at the time that I read it I wasn't even that into any genres other than romance and completely devoured it. Seriously changed my life. Can't wait to hear your thoughts
