As an Italian, it's kinda... interesting to see tourists from other countries see my homeland. Everyone enjoys Italy so much, praises the landscape, the people, the food of course! Almost every video I see is full of people in love with Italy, while we Italians really seem to hate our country and we complain about everything. We have our good reasons: politics, mafia, no jobs and so on; but we always forgot how beautiful our land is, how kind we can be to each other and how we are the best in the world in so many fields that we all should be proud of. I think it's helpful that someone from the outside reminds us on all the beauty we have and how lucky we are to live here because we tend to forget all of this by focusing exclusively on the bad things. So thank you very much for your visit, if you're planning to return to Milano, please be my guests.

Matteo Bossi. Same here in Hawaii. Tourists always love to come and see the beautiful beaches. Us who live here complain about like pollution, Mauna Kea, and more. We never appreciate our beautiful land until we go somewhere worse.

I spent a couple of years(2008-2011) in Pisa for my PhD. To me, Italy is the most beautiful country of the world. I always miss this land and hoping to visit again at some point of time in my life.

love from Germany Italy is one of the most beautiful countries I've ever seen! u guys have lake Como, Amalfi/positano, portofino, cinque Terre, Venice, Rome, Florence, Milan, Pisa, the entire Tuscany area, ischia, Sicilia, ... there's just so much to see but so far I've only seen Bari, Venice and lignano buuuuut Rome 2020

I went to Italy last fall and we drove 3 hours out of our way just to see Cinque Terre. It was 100% worth it!! Our favorite part of the trip. Never seen anything like it before! Fresh pesto and focaccia (I ate lobster spaghetti and still have dreams about it to this day), the hiking to each town, swimming in the clear blue water, PRICELESS!

I went to Lord Byron park this past summer. I climbed the rocks all the way over to that cemetery. Beautiful place.

Pity the bad weather is so amazing 5 Terre even if Porto Venere is not 5 terre, and yes stunning to swim there in the summer!

The weather was the same for my visit to Cinque Terre early May 2019 the boats were cancelled and we went in by train to all the villages only 6 degrees raining and windy. BUT OH SO BEAUTIFUL

The travel dude Rick Steves turned many of us PBS viewers onto this unique area of beautiful Italia to Cinque Terre more than 30 years ago, You all were bambini at the time that is why you missed it! In some ways Steves PBS shows really opened up Europe to my generation. I was influenced by him when I chose to study in Italy and England! Well I wanted to study film performance and the time periods of the Renaissance and The Regency, so... Hope you enjoyed your time there! Travel On!

Lol ayyyy! Love Rick Steves. Don't think I've ever seen anyone else talk about him before on a travel video (other than on his channel of course) =D *Edit* Oh, something I wanted to add, he opened up Europe to *My* (Eric and Allison's age) generation too! His show was on the Travel Channel for a long time also and I've watched older eps over on AXS TV (I believe that was the channel) as well :))

Very touristy but also very nice. Yes in Italy you should have some sort of pasta! Been there few times, great country. Italians are also very helpfull and proud of their country. Asking for directions in Milan was great since I do speak French but not Italian I got it when I saw it. I was told to go to the piedzonne. When I saw the piedzonne (pied is foot in French) had my aha moment, a crossing for pedestrians LOL.

I enjoyed the lovely views of the towns in the Cinque Terre. I highly recommend a trip to the Amalfi Coast on your next trip to Italy.... The towns of Amalfi and Positano are absolutely stunning :-)

i always thought i disliked cannolis until i had one in a very unassuming small corner coffee shop in rome. i don't know what possessed me to order one but it was beyond amazing and fresh. also artichokes when in season are amazing there. matter of fact well - all food is amazing there. i don't think i had one bad meal. you should go back to italy and explore more

The town you visited first is called Portovenere and in my opinion is a lot more beautiful than the rest of the 5 terre, I live nearby, you were out of luck when it's sunny, Portovenere is like heaven.

Italian kitties! What is the daily temp? You guys are pretty bundled but still you got cold. The atmosphere in the villages was so lovely, the colors and the rain, you looked like you were in a water color come to life...I might have to take this cruise myself! pasta curtains rock!

I’d be surprised if the spaghetti was fresh .. dried is actually preferred and from the look of its shape and regular size I would say it was dried, unless you saw them making it.

We had 4 days based in Montarossa al Mare, and it still wasn't enough time to see all of the area. And the it rained half the days we were there too, though not as heavy as it seems to have for you. Cinque Terra was one of my favourite parts of my month in Italy, even though I managed to have my worst allergic reaction there when I tried their pesto. Apparently they use walnuts in it...

The last time I went to Italy (Venice) I was there on a tour for 8 hours and it poured with rain the whole time ..I was miserable after 3 hours and saturated ...it was a bad experience but I'm sure if I went back it would be better

You shouldn't however do the Cinque Terre by cruise ship. The towns and infrastructure there really isn't any good at coping with all these people coming at the same tame. It' much better to visit by car, and you will get a more pleasurable experience.

Guys in Italy it’s not called a croissant, it’s a cornetto (plain) or cornetto con crema (if it’s the one with custard cream) loved that area when I was there 2 months ago but it was really quiet, I thought Portofino was prettier though!
