Yeah, the Orwellian language normalizes the seedy exploitation and industrial scale rackets that goes on. Also this male phenomenon of programmes like Fresh&Fit/Whatever etc thinks it's doing a public duty by the public square of naming amd shaming these women when they themselves hawk IG as some tool of democratic virtue.
Question do you have a family and or other things to focus on if so what do you focus on. And I don't want to hear about this vague notion of "self improvement" I actually mean specific things.
@@thewewguy8t88 I’d like to answer if you don’t mind! Factors such as journaling and going outside is what distracted me. Also Hobbies like painting and sewing. Talking to people face to face, and even watching movies and tv shows even if it’s not as healthy as the others
Good for you. A lot of people enjoy it and is their outlet for entertainment. I mean you watch this garbage channel and this is social media you do realize?
I’m sure that parents aren’t monitoring kids’ online activities are like 20 years ago Not that parents were perfect back then but definitely more involved But yeah I agree, so weird
I've noticed the comments under Instagram posts are some of the most toxic I've seen. Nothing but complaining, arguing, and trolling. Reading Instagram comments you would think the world is completely full with miserable people.
laziness. a lot of people simply aren't even capable of this kind of foresight. a lazy mind is a weak mind. most people are mentally lazy. either that or they like to live in some sort of paradisiacal delusion that there aren't extremely evil, machiavellian people in the world. same reason it used to be "throw on a disney movie to shut the kids up and let me do my own thing for a while". Worse so, that so many parents feel their kids are "safer" having a phone. This, decades after the "sexual revolution" sought to validate a self-destructive promiscuous lifestyle that produced millions, if not hundreds of millions of children that weren't planned, or wanted in the first place. their parents might love them, but that fact still hangs in the dynamic of their relationship and existence like an odor that won't go away. The path of least resistance doesn't lead to anything good or noble in this world, and unfortunately, sexual 'liberation', a societal attitude that 'shame' should be abolished, in tandem with a culture that quickly and predictably arranged itself around instant gratification being the highest good, is an absolutely ingenious way to initiate, and hasten the dissolution of a society. When it gets to a point where all most people care about is their own pleasure, whatever that may be, and getting it NOW, there's hardly enough people left to do the real jobs, and keep the lights on, or to care to do so for a populace that lives for hedonism, and produces nothing of tangible value, aside from mass distribution of corruption, and foisting it on younger generations. There doesn't need to be a god for the tale of babylon to be a valid cautionary story. Children are the foundation of any civilizations future, if they themselves have no meaningful foundations for their lives, and are mercilessly preyed upon, the civilization has no future.
I am horrified to see how much our society has regressed due to Instagram and other social media sites such as Facebook, Reddit, Twitter (X), and TikTok and I'm very upset to know that these awful acts are not being cracked down quickly enough. People are simply made of greed and that's sad.
As a 20 year old, I can say for certain social media has destroyed most minds of ppl my age (18-25). Most ppl are super detached from one another and prefer to either stay home play video games or just scroll through instead of coming outside. Young men have all become insecure, sigma and doubtful while women have all gained more confidence, options and want more exceptions from men, so it's definetly destroyed the dating marketplace from young ppl. If your not active on social media, your basically a ghost. And I’m a little lost myself tbh.
In March 2022, I got so completely sick of FB censoring me, that I went on Messenger and told all my friends I was deleting it, and sent them my phone number. I only had 15 friends left, from a peak of 55. Then I deleted Fb and M. In the next five months, only two people ever called me, and they were freinds I'd known since 1972 and 1982. The only other ones I had contact with were five co-workers who I saw every day anyway. In August, I opened Version V of FB, cos the other eight friends were people who I didn't want to lose contact with, even though it really bothered me that they didn't seem to mind losing contact with me via being allergic to phone calls. And not all of them were 20-somethings, half of them were around my age (58). Way before this shit, and yet, they also don't call people, don't want to meet in real life, the whole bit. Which means that it wouldn't have mattered when social media appeared, be it in 2004 or 1984 or 1964 or 1884, people would've jumped on it, cos they've been doing the worst things, whatever is the most self-destructive, socially corrosive thing, since ever. It's like the old saying "Guns don't kill people, people do". Social media isn't the problem, it's a symptom. The only new thing in all the tr@fficking, etc is that SM has made it possible for it to go worldwide, instead of a regional and underground "ya gotta know someone" kind of deal.
IG could have really been something different. Used to be about photos not the people taking them. I used to take a bunch of different photos experiment taking pix of things you'd normally not shoot like glow sticks or really close up of leaves and sometimes use editing apps to make the photos look really kewl. It was inspiring made me want to get out there and take great photos not selfies once it became about that I quit it.
I miss so much that era of instagram, it was just genuine photos, no influencers, no selfies, no luxury life, fake posts “my followers always asked me…” 😢
@@dontmindme9323 I wouldn’t say normies are to be blamed. It’s the algorithm that messed up everything. Before when you’d only see the posts of people you follow, it was more personal and people would like and comment on things. Now it is random people and instagram models. If you like one picture of a random person, you’d be flooded with these people’s posts instead of the people you chose to follow.
@@trickyannathat’s when IG first came out where you’d go outside take a picture of a cornfield and put a cool filter on it . That was Instagram to me . Now it’s evolved into something completely else
Most Social media is skewing peoples world view and mental health. Closed all my social media accounts a decade ago and never looked back. Seen to many people mess up their lives since.
30 year old woman, and I’ve never had an Instagram account. Not even a dummy account to scroll, I’ve always had some quirk about extreme privacy. Every single person I know has Instagram.
Some are too young to realize the situation they put themselves in or how to get out, especially under controlling predatory people/agencies. Some don't have a good home life or support system and they are easy prey for these disgusting people. The older ones, sure they DEF know what they're getting into.
There's no excuse for ignorance these days, if you're going into an industry where you are the product you should do your research before you begin, even me as a regular guy do research about a job I'm going to apply for, women just have no shame, and when they behave badly they expect everyone to feel sorry for them and make excuses for terrible decisions.
It ruined it.. gave you a score, and a humble person who finds it strange to promote themself as perfect through photos/ manipulation will be left in the dust. Narcissistic cesspool.
I’m backpacking Europe right now. It’s amazing how many people will go to famous sites and take pics of themselves only instead of, you know, the sites.
I have never - not even for a second - considered using Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook or any other social media. Watching videos on RU-vid (and posting a few comments) is as far as I go, and I can't say I feel I'm missing out on anything of importance.
Women will never be viewed or taken seriously as long as there are some that allow themselves, their character and integrity, to be sold off for a sum of their parts. It drives my wife crazy!
You forgot to mention the fact that if an user tries to unlike content that he liked, the app allows you to unlike 100 posts at a time but after that it always gives an error and says you have to wait some time before you can do that, it always gives that "error", most likely on purpose so that the algorithm is not that much affected by you unliking content. Disgusting app
I once came across an ig account that literally just posted children, some of which were in very suggestive poses. I reported it expecting it to be quickly taken down but apparently they "found nothing wrong with the account", it literally took like weeks to get that account taken down for some reason.
Scammers put comments under a few of my friends' FB posts, and after I reported about a dozen, I gave up, cos every single time, FB told me, a couple days later, that "this content does not violate our Community Standards". Obvious scams, like the same picture of a guy with a backward baseball hat on, and a beard, with different names (I lost count at 8). Or pictures of American military guys, but the names are always Nigerian or some shit. And they all say the same things, to within four words: "Hi i always see ur posts u seem like a gud prsn send me frnd rqst ok have good day bye ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤" and such. Yeah, tell me all about your "community standards" and "keeping FB safe and welcoming for everyone" while you enable this IG shit from beyond Hell.
It goes deep that that. Next time u see a post like that if its a reel simply click it then scroll through the reels, more little children will come up look at the comments and youll see people posting some weird websites. Those websites are cp. Ive asked this guy to cover this before but he probably just has never seen my comments.
The women going to these parties just to be there and because they are beautiful has been something happening for many many years, insta just made it easier to get them
As an aspiring author, there is no greater inspiration for dark fantasy than reality. What I wouldn't give for reality to be a kinder, more honest world.
Yeah, the internet is gross, and only makes us miserable. We should all collectively walk away, go outside, and actually talk to real people in front of us again without all this junk technology that's spying and surveillance us.
And even the internet in itself isn't wrong, it's just a mirror for humanity's inherent shadow(s). The concept of "give a man a mask, and he will tell you the truth". problem is people become addicted to what they see, you have manipulators and outright evil people using it. The internet is just a tool, for better or worse. and it's being used against us.
I recently deactivated my accounts and realized how freeing it is to not know about people’s day to day life. I might eventually open instagram again but will be very selective about who I follow and how much time I’m allowed to spend on it.
same... im so over it but I'll probably just go back on for a week or two a cpl times a year at most and shut it off again. I shut it down again back in like April or May and life is so much more peaceful not lurking into everyone's day to day lives.
@@mattyb808 yes I'll probably go on from time to after I am done with my 3 months detox. I'm a photographer, so I kind of need to be on social media, but from now on I'll be more of a creator than a consumer of media.
So many people need to get their s*** together honestly. I use social media only to post my vacation photos, the most important moments or funny stuff. That's it. I don't compare myself to others and I only have good quality people in my list, which I know personally. So basically social media is an online album for me. There are a lot of messed up things happening on social media, but that's mainly because of bad parenting.
Tik Tok is a Chinese social weapon too a world without "social media" would be a happier place as you would not be a product that is manipulated by bots 24/7
not quite as tbh I think the plan is to remove both the governments and religions worldwide so corporate entities run the planet that would make sense of the WHY things are the way they are rn brainwash children into sterility and a life of pain and drugs before they have even learned who THEY really are! all media hating on one gender and one colour yet claim inclusivity men and women turned against each other yet all western governments continue to allow it even though their populations are starting to rebel but I'm an old nobody so laugh it up I'll be gone choose YOUR future wisely! or laugh like a moron you do you boo ;) stay blessed
These event models have been available for bars since at least the 1990s, they would hire them to stand out front dressed as schoolgirls, etc. It's not just an internet phenomenon. The biggest problem isn't the deceit, it's the fact that customers are fine with it.
one thing i’ve found myself thinking about was how much people post their gifts and belonging on social media. God did this year make me feel poor. I felt horrible i couldn’t afford a gift for my 17 year old brother and he opened one gift this christmas. Seeing influencers and even just my peers posting they got hundreds of dollars with of gifts just made me sob. Idk what’s wrong with me, am i just jealous and envious? or are people overspending and oversharing?
I always thought as a kid since i live in a 2 story house we’re part of the middle class, but as i get older i realize d houses don’t mean anything. I realize now that we’re much more poor than we think. All 4 of us kids are in college now, and each week we struggle to get by, meanwhile there are people blowing 100K a month on flexing on instragm and tiktok
This is what i hate about sm. It ruins the mental health of so many ppl. Yes, mental health has been an issue for as long as time, but I feel as if Instagram has made those numbers rise up a bunch due to how we can see how much "better" other ppl's lives are and how we should feel ashamed for not having what they have....
Will social media ever end? Or are we all stuck with it for the rest of our lives? Is this really what the 21st century was even supposed to be about? This is our legacy?
Leviticus 19:29 comes to mind here. (That's a verse address, not a video timestamp.) Also, can we just appreciate the political genius that is governments basically turning a blind eye to Instagram while trying to break or ban end-to-end encryption? While it’s actually a well-known mafia technique where you create a problem and then sell people the solution to that problem, the execution here is deviously subtle. New York City did that on a smaller timescale in recent years by no longer prosecuting crimes and then stepping up police surveillance with drones and facial recognition a year later. It was easy for me to spot from Rossmann’s videos at the time, but the pattern went unnoticed by most.
28:55 6 tech executives who raise their kids tech-free or seriously limit their screen time. They perfectly knows that even finger motion on smart phone is similar to cigarette addicts hand to mouth fixation (nicotine addiction is only 30% of total addiction) addiction and social platforms are 100 times more addictive than any drug we know.
This is the inevitable outcome of an increasingly capitalistic and narcissistic society where every human lives for themselves and interaction with others must be commodified in order to survive.
Wait. WTF.. so the way they defined the term "Human Trafficking". "The use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act". The way it's worded, Any parent "forcing" their child to do chores around the house, or yard work; with that definition, a parent can be legally be charged with "Child Trafficking". There definitely should be some sort of clauses added to be more specific, or at the least exclude parental duties.
Just the order day there was an Instagram user who was a satanist that posted cats being brutally/ violently treated on their page! Like wth is going on?!!
When I hear about the secret parties in Dubai where it involves faeces and animals (if thats even true at all) I always wish the Infinity Gauntlet was real. The amount of people in this world id snap away would be ridiculous... it would be thousands, millions even...
I honestly could never feel like I had to pay for friends or romantic relationships. I don't know how someone could and not feel far worse and far more like a lonely loser.
I use RU-vid and instagram but only for Reels when I’m like waiting for the bus or there’s nothing on RU-vid idk how or why people are so addicted to it it gets boring after awhile
Instagram was wholesome for like 5 secs. I had an android when it came out so I was unable to join for about a year or two. My friends behaviour in real life pretty much changed over night. I remember we went on a group trip and they were obsessed with stopping to take pics in front of brightly coloured doors or flowers and obviously, of their food. LOL none of them would admit it now, and they've calmed down, but it has been weird from the beginning.
I work retail, its so sad. I see so many young kids age 6 to 12 all glued to their mums phone or ipad. Kids aged 10 act like 2 or 4 yr olds, that how bad it affects their brains
12:45 fun note on public relations/propaganda. as far as i'm remembering it correctly edward bernays coined the term public relations, because 'propaganda sounded too negative'. but yeah, all in all i consider it the same thing
This is the new calling for "journalists", finding stories like these and shedding light on them. If our government isn't going to do it, someone should.
They deleted me for posting pics only with no caption saying i was a spam account. So i will never post there again. May download just as a way to communicate with people but hell no am i going to waste my time and post there ever again 😂
a bot or someone must’ve hacked my friends Instagram account that once posted about the Nissan GTR R34 and suddenly started posting about girls showing their body when all people want to see is cars.
Imao it's more of society itself rather than any companies, they basically just work as tools. And banning or trying to restrict something will result in people leaving the platform, and platform itself losing revenue, which means that they are not that motivated to change anything in their system
Just to let you know, this is happening many years ago before ANY social network, today social networks makes easier to know, spread and get involved on that market, nothing else. Social Networks and Internet in general, are just tools, everybody will always find the way to use it for their own business, good and bad ones. Just like Uber makes a client meet a driver with a car to offer a service, social networks also are used to meet people each other, to whatever service want to offer in between them. The people decide what to do and what don't with their lives, not the social networks, a gun doesn't decide when, where and the target to shoot, the people that use it does. Social can't be the "nanny" for everyone all the time, the people need more common sense and just stop and don't read, don't look, don't ear whatever you don't want to and/or don't like.
I rly don’t use social media. I only post photos & stories/ upload, chat w friends, watch an influencer crush 😅👀 most times I’m on it, it’s me listening to ASMR when I’m sleeping or Phub 👀
Social media never should have been allowed to people who aren’t mature enough to understand its ramifications . Hindsight is 20 20 but it’s never too late to change things for the sake of our children and humanity .
at 22:37 He said and I quote: "Many Instagram Users are as young as 13 years old." meanwhile the article he is referring to clearly says that just 8% of Instagram users are between 13 and 17 years old.
So I am going to be honest and say as 35 year old guy I think I was kid who was frustrated the world was not like the way it is today. Like looking back I feel like as a kid I had the personality of a gen alpha today but not only was I born in the wrong era that was kind of against my personality but my parents were baby boomers so I was basically a gen Alpha kid born in the 90s being raised by baby boomer parents.
It's not Instagram. It's humanity. That's everything wrong with society. Instagram is just an app. I love the fact people are hating on social media on a social media platform. That kind of makes this channel part of the problem and hypocritical don't you think?
@FREY-cw9ns That's an original reply and pretty stupid. How do you know what's in a video until you watch it? I give you ladies and gentlemen our new President of these here Untied States - IAMAKNUCKLEHEAD.
