Ah, great question! Can't believe I forgot to add that! I've updated the blog post to include the answer to your question. You'll need to use the full channel URL (with your default channel ID) and replace the whole "RU-vid" part of the link. It'll make more sense when you see what I mean here: foxandlens.com/blog/instagram-link-in-bio-for-youtube-vids
Hope this video helps you feel a bit less frustration with Instagram's bio links (and their in-app browser in general). This works for stories and reels, too! Let me know how it works out for you! 👇
"Not working" is pretty vague. No way to troubleshoot that, really. When you post the URL in your description, RU-vid automatically converts it to a link. Look in my description for an example.
Hi Dan! I have a different question for you. Instagram blocks my website link in bio no idea why. Do you know how I can make them just accept it? Thanks for your help already! 😊
Hmm... not sure. The first thing that comes to mind is that maybe you're not using a secure url in the website field? Also, it seems that the website url can only be edited on mobile now, annoyingly. I swear instagram gets worse by the day...
Oh, do you mean linking to Instagram from other places? Geniuslink would facilitate redirecting to any other link, you just need to know the deeplink code. And I'm not sure if Instagram even has deeplinks or what the syntax would be if they do. But if they do, Geniuslink would handle it. I've never tried it. I'm always trying to get people OFF Instagram, not TO it. 🤣
