Hi Praveen, My own-prem is using AD for auth, I wish to enable MFA but wish to use Azure, is it possible now in 2021 as we dont have MFA server provided by MS anymore. So i wish to ask for two scenarios: 1. Custom on prem app using LDAP auth as of now. no MFA - so can i use AD as primary and Azure MFA as secondary? 2. If the above point 1 is not possible, then second option would be use Azure AD for both primary password and secondary otp based auth. How can i achieve either of this? Current state - I have enabled AD connect and my on -prem users are synced to Azure already.
The question itself will lead to a long article, but to keep it short to have a good start you have few options and some are, 1. Think about application modernization 2. If it is web app, think about using Azure AD Proxy and enforce controls ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k_Dp4emtnpE.html and enable SSO 3. Validate the possibility of enabling Azure AD auth in the app. Once you achieve any of the above, then it will become easy to enforce modern auth controls.

Suppose my intranet url is tools.xyz.com then default external would be tools-xyz.msappproxy.net ? It also required a CNAME record ? Thanks
Yes, you are right till halfway through.
